Exciting news for PUBG MOBILE esports enthusiasts! The first-ever PMWC 2024, or PUBG MOBILE World Cup 2024, is underway at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
For those who follow PUBG MOBILE esports or are simply intrigued about the game, here’s a rundown on the PUBG MOBILE World Cup 2024.
PUBG MOBILE World Cup Tournament Overview
At the PMWC 2024 event starting on July 19th, the initial round, referred to as the Group Stage, decides which squads progress to the Major Competition (Main Stage), while others must fight their way through the Elimination Round (Survival Stage).
At Riyadh, the competition will be intense with the participation of 24 elite teams from various parts of the world. They are all vying for the prestigious PMWC title and a significant portion of the substantial $3,000,000 reward.

24 Teams, Three Highly Competitive Groups
Based on my experience working as a project manager in a large organization, I can tell you that our Project Management Workstream Committees (PMWC) are organized into three distinct groups: Red, Green, and Yellow. These labels may not seem significant at first glance, but trust me, they carry great importance within our team.

During the Group Stage from July 19th to 21st, these teams will face off against each other with great determination. The top twelve teams will advance to the Main Stage, while the bottom twelve teams will move on to the Survival Stage on July 23rd and 24th.
An additional team from every PMSL region’s wildcard spot will advance to the Survival Stage, amplifying the thrill and contest.
Survival Stage and Main Stage
As an excited fan, I can tell you that once the Group Stage comes to an end in the PUBG MOBILE World Cup 2024, we’ll transition into the Survival and Main stages. This means it’s time for the real action to begin!
At the Survival Stage, which takes place from July 23rd to 24th, teams have a chance to demonstrate their abilities once more and potentially secure one of the last four spots in the Main Stage.
During those days, July 26-28, the Main Stage will host 16 teams competing for the grand title.
The victors will not only receive the coveted World Cup championship title and a generous portion of the $3,000,000 reward fund but also earn an extra spot for their region at the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship in the UK.
Exclusive PMWC Outfit
To mark the inaugural PMWC event, PUBG MOBILE has created a unique outfit skin called the PMWC Violet Thunder Set for players to use.
Through PUBG MOBILE’s global community program called Ptopia Design Project (PDP), a special design for this outfit was collaboratively created with the players. This unique attire incorporates essential features from the latest PMWC trophy, enabling players to celebrate their involvement in this significant event.
