In the near future, an update for the somewhat contentious game Palworld is scheduled to roll out. This latest version promises a partnership with the popular game Terraria.

This year, the blend of Palworld and Terraria is generating a lot of excitement among gamers. Although Pocketpair initially announced it back in November 2024, they’ve been tight-lipped about specifics up until now.

On their official Twitter account, Palworld shared both the release date and a sneak peek into the upcoming Tides of Terraria expansion, showcased by an exciting new trailer. Let’s delve into the specifics of this significant update.

Tides of Terraria release day

The Palworld Tides of Terraria update is scheduled for launch on June 25th, 2025. Excited gamers won’t have to wait much longer to embark on this fresh journey.

Just as promised, this collaboration brings a significant shift in the gameplay experience by introducing additional companions (Pals), a fresh Island, novel mechanisms, and an abundance of exciting content.

New monsters

Although no fresh Pals have been unveiled as of now, it has been confirmed (and hinted at in the trailer) that Terraria creatures will soon inhabit Palpagos Island. Players will then have the opportunity to catch, nurture, employ, and engage in battles alongside these creatures.

In the video, multiple bats were spotted pursuing the main character, and, noteworthy, the famous figure known as the “Eye of Cthulhu” made an appearance too.

The video ends with a brief peek at yet another significant figure hailing from the Terraria world: the Moon Lord.

Map expansion

In simpler terms, the expansion of Terraria called “The Tides” will introduce additional islands into the game. As of now, specifics about these islands are yet to be revealed. We’ll make sure to update this guide as soon as Pocketpair provides more information.

In the trailer, it seems the main character ventures into an underground cave to acquire what appears as a novel, luminescent weapon – possibly a key sword. This suggests that rather than the usual new island teeming with Terraria creatures, players may explore fresh territory exclusively derived from Terraria’s world.
