Get ready for the upcoming release of EA Sports Football Club 26, the latest addition to Electronic Arts’ enduring yearly football series! Here are the details we have gathered thus far.
As the 2024/25 football season concludes and EA Football Club 25 reaches its end, fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next. Just as reliably as a clock, a new game in the series appears annually, and 2025 is no different.
Despite EA Football Club 26 being confirmed, there’s not much official information available on it yet. Fortunately, due to leaks and past releases, we already know quite a bit about its upcoming features, so let’s delve into them.
Is there an EA FC 26 release date?
As of now, an official launch date for FC 26 hasn’t been announced yet. However, reliable leaker ‘ASY FUT’ suggests that it will be released on Friday, September 26 for those who purchase the Standard Edition. On the other hand, owners of the Ultimate Edition are said to receive early access starting from September 19, which gives them a week’s advantage before the general release.
Following the trend observed in previous years, it’s likely that the release will occur around late September, as they usually do. Those who opt for the premium edition can expect to receive it a week ahead of schedule. While an official announcement is still pending, it seems highly probable.

Licences
Amongst the standout attributes of EA Football Club is its vast collection of licensed leagues and teams, with EA FC 25 boasting a diverse variety of 38 international divisions. As for upcoming developments, we’re yet to hear any announcements; however, anticipate seeing some heavyweights such as the Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga make an appearance in the game.
Instead of being granted licenses, two well-known Italian clubs, AC Milan and Inter Milan, won’t be officially represented. Since they have an exclusive agreement with Konami for eFootball, their appearance will change to Milano FC and Lombardia FC, featuring generic uniforms and stadiums once more.
For German soccer enthusiasts, there’s a possibility of delightful news, since it seems that after a gap of seven years, Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena might reopen its doors again.
Despite the club continuing to feature in the roster due to EA’s partnership with the Bundesliga, its usual home stadium has been absent because of an agreement with eFootball. But now that Konami has confirmed the end of their deal and Bayern’s removal, it’s likely we’ll see the famous stadium reappear again.
Spotify integration
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve always appreciated the killer soundtracks that come with the EA FIFA series. Now, the developers are giving us a sneak peek into something truly game-changing – full Spotify support! This means we could soon be jamming to our favorite tunes while playing. It’s already been tested in certain regions for FIFA 25, and there are whispers that FIFA 26 might just be the game where this feature fully blooms on a global scale. Can’t wait!
As a player, I’ll have the freedom to tailor my gaming experience by choosing, pausing, and even skipping tracks on my personal playlists, either via an in-game tab or through my phone. This feature is sure to make those nail-biting Squad Battle matches more enjoyable and less of a chore.
New Icons leaked
In every new installment of this series, fresh Icon characters are added, representing footballing greats who reappear as special cards within Ultimate Team. This pattern continues with FC 26, where rumors suggest that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will make an appearance among the newcomers.
In a retirement announced in 2023, the legendary Swedish footballer, who amassed more than 500 career goals, looked back on his unforgettable stints with Ajax, AC Milan, PSG, and various other clubs.
