As a keen observer of reality TV relationships, it’s clear that love in the pods isn’t always a walk in the park. Each couple faces their unique challenges, and it seems that Season 7 of “Love is Blind” was no exception.

For six seasons running, the show “Love Is Blind” poses an intriguing query: Can love truly be unaware of appearances? This unique social experiment, where individuals date and propose without having initially met each other in person, has brought about joyous success stories for some participants. However, it hasn’t always gone smoothly for everyone else.
Throughout the seven seasons of the show produced by Kinetic Content, not every on-screen proposal led to an aired wedding. In fact, during the first season, Danielle Drouin became engaged to Rory Newrough and Lexie Skipper was set to marry Westley Baer; however, both engagements resulted in splits before the couples walked down the aisle. Similarly, in Season 2, Catilin McKee, Joey Miller, Jason Beaumont, and Kara Williams all became engaged, but their relationships ended before they could marry.
After the completion of Season 2, Chris Coelen, the creator, shared with EbMaster that due to practical reasons, it’s not feasible to document every couple. Instead, there’s an element of prediction involved in deciding which couples the producers opt to film.
In the first season, Kenny Barnes and Kelly Chase were our main characters, and many assumed their story would be predictable, perhaps leading to a marriage. However, they didn’t get married, surprising us all. As for future developments in the tales we select, we remain just as clueless.
In Seasons 3, 4, 5, and 6, the focus was on a limited number of couples who got engaged. Their stories were highlighted throughout these seasons. However, not all of these relationships survived past the wedding ceremony. Season 4 saw several breakups even before reaching the altar, while Season 5 followed three couples but experienced one split immediately after the pods. Season 6 featured five couples with only two making it to the altar.
In Season 7, we saw seven romantic pairings, yet the show opted not to focus on Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy, who later split up shortly after their introduction. Out of the six couples that were highlighted, only two ended up getting married in the end.
Below, EbMaster breaks down each couple who got engaged in the pods and where they stand now.
Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton
The season 1 couple married in November 2018 and are still together.
Amber Pike and Matthew Barnett
After meeting on Season 1, the pair got married in November 2018.
Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers
Following our engagement during Season 1, I hesitated at the altar. However, we reunited during the reunion special, but parted ways again in early 2021.
Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas
During Season 1, Jessica chose not to marry Mark at the ceremony, and he didn’t participate in the subsequent “After the Altar” episode. Since then, both of them have moved on and tied the knot with different partners.
Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes
Following their engagement at the end of Season 1, Kelly declined at the altar. Later, during the reunion show, it was revealed that Kenny had started a fresh romantic relationship.
Diamond Jack and Carlton Morton
In the first season, the couple became engaged inside the pods, but they split up following their initial group excursion to Mexico, when he disclosed his bisexuality.
Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones
Despite getting married in Season 2 and appearing together during the reunion, they revealed their separation in August 2022.
Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson
The Season 2 couple married in June 2021 but she filed for divorce in August 2022.
Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen
In Season 2, Natalie declined marriage at the altar. After filming ended, they attempted a relationship once more; however, they parted ways prior to the reunion.
Deepti Vempati and Abhishek ‘Shake’ Chatterjee
Following an emotionally charged Season 2 experience, Deepti chose not to get married on their wedding day. Subsequently, for a short while, Deepti was romantically involved with Kyle after the show ended.
Mallory Zapata and Salvador Perez
During the Season 2 wedding, Sal declined. After the series ended, they went out on a date, but before the “After the Altar” special, Sal had already moved on.
Shaina Hurley and Kyle Abrams
Even though they became engaged during Season 2, Shaina ended her relationship with Kyle after he met her family. Following the filming, Kyle had a short fling with Deepti. As of now, Shaina is already married.
Alexa Alfia and Brennon Lemieux
The pair from Season 3 tied the knot in June 2021 and remained together even up to the reunion, which happened over a year afterwards. Right from the beginning, this couple encountered the minimum amount of turmoil.
Zanab Jaffrey and Cole Barnett
In Season 3, Zanab and Cole frequently disagreed on various occasions, one of which was when he commented that she was a “9” compared to Colleen being a “10.” Despite seeming to be in a harmonious state before the wedding, she refused him at the altar, stating that he had damaged her self-worth. During the reunion, she also accused him of attempting to dictate what she consumed.
Raven Ross and Sikiru Alagbada
At their Season 3 wedding, SK declined to marry at the altar. Yet, when the reunion was recorded over a year later, they had revived their romance. During a long-distance relationship phase, they announced their separation in November 2022, just shy of a month after the reunion.
Nancy Rodriguez and Bartise Bowden
During Season 3, Bartise and Nancy faced numerous challenges. They clashed on the topic of abortion and encountered difficulties with his family. Additionally, he confessed to having feelings for Raven on more than one occasion. At their wedding, she was taken aback when he declined her proposal at the altar.
Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton
After a rollercoaster of highs and lows, marked by numerous instances where he chose to walk away, I found myself witnessing their nuptials in Season 3. In the grand reunion, they confessed that their bond remains strong, though they’re still not cohabiting just yet.
Kwame Appiah and Chelsea Griffin
In Season 4, there were times when they experienced highs and lows due to differing opinions about where to settle down. Nevertheless, they exchanged vows at the end of the season, and a year later during the reunion, they remained married.
Brett Brown and Tiffany Pennywell
Tiffany and Brett, the beloved couple from Season 4, didn’t hesitate to accept each other’s proposal during the ceremony. A year later at the live reunion, they were contentedly still married.
Jackie Bonds and Marshall Glaze
Following their Season 4 commitment within the pods, Jackie and Marshall faced challenges in the real world. In the end, they chose to separate before their wedding, and Jackie resumed her relationship with Josh Demas from the pod. At the reunion, it was disclosed that she is no longer with Josh, though they have parted ways since then.
Micah Lussier and Paul Peden
Despite their association with Kwame, Micah and Paul found themselves in a relationship within the pods during Season 4. Their journey was fraught with difficulties, and when they reached the altar, Micah requested that Paul express his decision before hers. However, he declined. After the show ended, they attempted to continue dating, but it ultimately proved unsuccessful.
Zack Goytowski and Bliss Poureetezadi
Maybe the most shocking twist of the season, Zack broke up with Irina Solomonova after they got engaged in the pods and revealed he actually wanted to rekindle his romance with Bliss. With that, he was able to date Bliss after they met and they got engaged. They both said yes at the altar — and were still happily married during the reunion.
Jared “JP” Pierce and Taylor Rue
After getting engaged in the pods on Season 5, the couple split during the getaways.
Stacy Snyder and “Izzy” Zapata Jr
The Season 5 couple split at the altar when she said no.
Lydia Gonzalez and Milton Johnson
The Season 5 duo got married on the finale in 2023.
Johnny McIntyre and Amy Olenska
In the sixth season, I found myself proposing to my e-commerce counterpart. We seemed to be the epitome of joy throughout that period, and we sealed our union with a beautiful wedding during the grand finale.
Jimmy Presnell and Chelsea Blackwell
During Season 6, both Jimmy and Chelsea were involved with others – Jimmy with Jessica Vestal, and Chelsea with Trevor Sova. However, they became engaged that season. Regrettably, they didn’t proceed to marriage as Jimmy expressed he wasn’t prepared yet.
Amber Desiree (“AD”) and Clay Gravesande
Following a peculiar date with Matthew Duliba during Season 6, Amber opted to accept Clay Gravesande’s proposal, despite his warning signs. Even though she agreed, Gravesande expressed his affection for her but felt it wasn’t appropriate for him to marry at that time. This left her feeling displeased. During the reunion, he admitted that he regretted declining and believes A.D. might be the one true love of his life.
Jeramey Lutinski and Laura Dadisman
In Season 6, Jeramey Lutinski became engaged to Laura Dadisman. However, following a prolonged evening spent with Sarah Ann Bick from the pods, their relationship with Dadisman came to an end. During the reunion, it was disclosed that Sarah Ann and Jeramey had been together since the show concluded. In fall 2024, she announced that they had parted ways.
Brittany Mills and Ken Gorham
In Season 6, the young couple developed a deep bond based on their shared beliefs and decided to get engaged within the pods. However, she didn’t experience a romantic feeling towards him, leading them to end their relationship before the wedding day.
Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy
As a dedicated movie-goer putting this in my own words, here’s how I would phrase it: “Though they got engaged within the pods during Season 7, the producers decided not to document their relationship journey. Unfortunately, they parted ways just a few weeks after their initial encounter.
Monica Davis and Stephen Richardson
In Season 7, Monica and Stephen parted ways following her discovery of flirtatious texts he exchanged with another woman. These texts were suggestive in nature. After an apology from him, she decided to end their romance.
Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka
Following their break during Season 7 and subsequent events, Hannah and Nick encountered several highs and lows. She asserted that she needed to instruct him on becoming a mature adult. In the end, she decided against proceeding with the marriage and canceled it prior to the season’s conclusion.
Alexandra Byrd and Tim Godbee
In the seventh season, Alex and Tim experienced numerous highs and lows, but following Alex’s introduction of him to her father, things appeared to be progressing smoothly. However, during a visit from his family, Alex took a nap, and Tim ended their engagement, stating that he no longer wished to have any contact with Alex.
Marissa George and Ramses Prashad
Throughout the entire season, everyone was hoping for the best for Marissa and Ramses, as their connection seemed unparalleled. Yet, following her attempts to select a wedding dress, he expressed his reservations, stating that there were too many disparities between them to tie the knot.
Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans
At the close of Season 7, fan-favorites Taylor and Garrett overcame their disagreements and eventually exchanged “I do’s”.
Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser
The beloved pair Tyler and Ashley encountered a setback when he disclosed that he had three kids he refers to as “donor children.” Yet, they managed to overcome this hurdle, restoring their trust, and exchanged vows on their special day.
