As a seasoned movie connoisseur with a penchant for all things Ryan Murphy and Evan Peters, I must say that the news of “The Beauty” series order has me absolutely giddy! With their long-standing partnership and a star-studded cast including Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope, and more, this promises to be a visually stunning and thought-provoking tale.

I’m thrilled to share that I’m just as excited as you are about the news that Evan Peters and Ryan Murphy are reuniting on FX! The network has officially given a series order to their upcoming drama, “The Beauty.” Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!

Peter will feature in the show titled “The Beauty”, with Murphy contributing as a co-creator. Alongside Peter and Murphy, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope are also set to appear. This series is adapted from the Image Comics series of the same name, created by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. Matthew Hodgson is another co-creator on the project. All six individuals, including Peter, Murphy, Hodgson, Kutcher, Ramos, and Pope, are executive producers alongside Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, and Eric Gitter. The series is produced by 20th Television in partnership with Ryan Murphy Television. Notably, Murphy has an overall deal with Disney, which encompasses 20th Television.

The production is set to commence this fall, with FX commissioning 11 episodes for the series. While specifics about the storyline and characters are being tightly guarded, the source material of the comics hints that “The Beauty” revolves around a society fixated on physical attractiveness. The question it explores is: What if there existed a method to continually enhance one’s beauty? But what if this enhancement was a sexually transmitted disease? In the universe of ‘The Beauty,’ achieving perfection is within reach for most, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn are about to uncover the devastating consequences.

Peters and Murphy often work together, with Peters starring in nine different episodes of Murphy’s FX show “American Horror Story,” and even earning a producer credit for the tenth. Additionally, they collaborated on the first season of “Pose” on FX, which was also co-created by Murphy. Recently, Peters played a lead role in “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” on Netflix, another series co-developed by Murphy along with Ian Brennan. This show won Peters a Golden Globe and earned him an Emmy nomination. Currently, it stands as the third most-watched series in Netflix’s history.

Peter bagged an Emmy award for his role in the HBO series “Mare of Easttown,” and you might recognize him from other shows such as “WandaVision.” In cinema, he is famously recognized for portraying Quicksilver in the “X-Men” movie series, and has also starred in films like “The Lazarus Effect,” “I Am Woman,” and “Elvis and Nixon.

Apart from their collaboration on “Glee,” “American Horror Stories,” “9-1-1,” and “Aaron Hernandez: American Sports Story,” Hodgson has also teamed up with Murphy on several productions. Notably, he is represented by Lit Entertainment Group.

Ramos is mainly recognized for creating the characters of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the highly successful Broadway musical “Hamilton.” He was nominated for an Emmy in 2020 for his performance, which was broadcast on Disney+. In his latest project, he appeared in the hit summer movie “Twisters,” alongside Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar Jones. Ashton Kutcher is most recognized for his leading part in the Fox sitcom “That ’70s Show,” which ran for eight seasons. Later, he took on roles in shows such as “The Ranch” on Netflix and “Two and a Half Men” on CBS after Charlie Sheen’s departure.
