Now that Euphoria Season 3 is officially being made, Sydney Sweeney has given us a sneak peek of what’s coming up, and it appears to be even more intense and uncontrolled than before – with Cassie showing signs of being even more erratic.

Initially airing in 2019, the HBO series resonated deeply with contemporary culture. Euphoria mirrored the experience of Generation Z much like Skins did for millennials, focusing on a high school cohort grappling with drug issues, love, social media, and self-discovery.

Besides her remarkable portrayal as Cassie Howard, Sydney Sweeney has since risen to stardom, securing roles in shows like The White Lotus, Anyone But You, Immaculate, and Madame Web, and many more projects yet to come.

Regarding Cassie, she transformed from an innocent protagonist into a detestable antagonist in Season 2 following her relationship with her friend’s troublesome ex-boyfriend Nate (Jacob Elordi). However, this is not the end of her story – quite the contrary.

Sydney Sweeney talks about long awaited Euphoria Season 3

According to a recent chat with Empire magazine, Sweeney disclosed that she’s at present shooting scenes for Euphoria Season 3, and hinted that the upcoming storyline will be remarkably intense or unconventional.

She mentioned that she’s currently working on Euphoria, but she recently had a brief break. During this time, she shared that she’s busy with a beauty advertising project in Barcelona.

Sweeney went on to say, “Cassie holds a special place in my heart, and I value her greatly. She can be quite erratic and often makes errors, yet she acts out of a deep well of love. In many ways, she’s imperfect, but that’s part of what makes her so endearing.

This role might also embody a melancholic form of love. It’s incredibly enjoyable to portray a character who is just as eccentric as she is.

Working with Sam [Levinson] is a thrill since I can suggest something, call him up, and say, “Let’s make it even more daring!”, to which he always responds, “I’m game!” This season is nothing short of extraordinary.

When asked if it’s “more unhinged” than previous chapters, she confirmed, “Yes.” 

Absolutely, I’m unable to disclose any specific plot points right now, but rest assured, it’s positive news. Considering how much we’ve been anticipating Season 3, this comes as a welcome relief!

Initially, there were concerns that Euphoria might not resume production because of clashes in schedules with its renowned cast members, such as Zendaya from Spider-Man.

Fortunately, those worries have been put aside, and it seems as though Levinson isn’t pulling any punches with the cast reunited.

Regarding Cassie’s storyline, a video from the filming a month ago surfaced featuring Sweeney wearing a wedding dress, strolling down an aisle marked ‘C & N’. This has sparked speculation that Cassie may get married to Nate in Season 3.

The problem is that neither an official source has verified the leak, nor is it clear if the original reference was intended for someone else.

It’s more probable that this is intended for a fictional scene, similar to how Nate imagined Cassie being pregnant in Season 2. Perhaps this scene depicts Cassie from her perspective, approaching the altar with her friend’s former partner.
