Ethereum’s 21 Milestones: A Comedy of Crypto Errors and Triumphs!

Ah, dear reader, gather ’round as we embark on a whimsical jaunt through the latest escapades of Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, which has recently taken to bragging like a peacock in full plumage. The official X account of our beloved Ethereum has unveiled a list of 21 remarkable feats accomplished in the grand Ethereum ecosystem over the past few weeks. One can only imagine the confetti raining down in celebration! 🎉

These 21 milestones, mind you, were not achieved by mere mortals but by the crème de la crème of crypto platforms frolicking on the Ethereum blockchain, alongside the rather grand upgrade known as Pectra. Yes, Pectra, a name that sounds like a character from a Victorian novel, has made its debut!

Ethereum is for shipping.

Here’s 21 things the global @ethereum ecosystem got done in the last few weeks:

1. The latest upgrade to Ethereum, Pectra, went live.

“Ethereum is for shipping”

In a fresh post that could make even the most stoic of souls chuckle, Ethereum’s account (@ethereum) on the X social media network has shared “21 things the global @ethereum ecosystem got done in the last few weeks.” One can only assume that the Ethereum team has been working harder than a cat in a room full of rocking chairs!

The pièce de résistance on that illustrious list is none other than the latest Ethereum upgrade, Pectra, which made its grand entrance at the start of May. Pectra has doubled the capacity of layer-2 networks on Ethereum, added some delightful validator UX improvements, and rolled out smart wallets to enhance the user experience. Bravo! 👏

Next up, we have Stripe, the dashing financial platform, announcing stablecoin financial accounts earlier this month. This update now allows users in over 100 countries to hold, send, and receive ETH-based stablecoins, such as USDC. The tweet boldly proclaims Ethereum’s role as a major tool for global financial freedom, as if it were a superhero in a cape! 🦸‍♂️

The list also boasts of the Uniswap DEX surpassing a staggering $3 trillion in all-time swap volume, as well as updates from CoalaPay, BTCS, Coinbase Wallet, and a host of others. Ethereum concluded its tweet with a flourish, declaring that its layer-2 ecosystem is now “stronger and more secure than ever before.” One can only hope it has a good security system in place! 🔒

It also stated, with a flourish, that “Ethereum is for secure, decentralized L2s that grow the Ethereum ecosystem.” Quite the mouthful, isn’t it?

Ethereum comes close to $2,700

In a dramatic turn of events, Ethereum has made a valiant recovery, adding almost 9% and reaching a local high of $2,692. This price recovery occurred after ETH took a nosedive of 5.32% in a single, massive red candle on the hourly chart. One can only imagine the gasps of horror from investors! 😱

That unfortunate fall saw ETH plummet from $2,591 to the rather dismal price level of $2,455. But fear not, dear reader, for at press time, Ethereum is changing hands at a more respectable $2,650.

Ethereum’s rally seems to be following in the footsteps of its “elder brother” Bitcoin, which recently smashed a new all-time high above the $111,000 mark on May 21. Prior to that, both Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs experienced massive daily inflows, as if they were the hottest tickets in town!
