Ethan Klein from H3 is criticizing Twitch for imposing a 30-day ban on him for repetitively streaming Hasan’s “content nuke” video.

In March 2025, Twitch faced criticism when it suspended Hasan Piker, a political commentator, for a day, following his remarks about threatening the life of a U.S. Senator.

“If you cared about Medicare or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott,” he said on March 3.

Despite predictions that the ban would last longer due to similar cases like Adin Ross receiving a permanent ban for “unmonitored chat,” Twitch surprisingly rescinded the suspension just a day later.

In response to recent criticism, Ethan Klein, previously a co-host of ‘The Leftovers’ with Hasan until their disagreement with the show’s creator, decided to continuously stream his content non-stop on Twitch.

He stated during his H3 show that “We’re making all the appropriate moves, but I expect they’ll eventually find a way to prohibit us. They always do, even if it means inventing a rule. However, I could be mistaken.

Ethan Klein blasts Twitch after 30 day ban

Surprisingly, during the very same broadcast, Twitch suspended Ethan’s channel for a period of thirty days, which ignited frustration in the content creator.

He expressed his deep disappointment, saying, “It’s truly saddening for me,” he exclaimed. “Some people repeat old acts, but I strongly believe we didn’t break any rules.

As per Twitch’s statement, the content package known as the “Hasan Nuclear Option,” featuring clips from Hasan’s live streams along with Ethan’s personal commentary, led to Klein being suspended due to promoting or celebrating excessive violence.

He excitedly declared, ‘It’s Hasan’s material on your site that he wasn’t reprimanded for!’ He was astonished, exclaiming something like ‘Wow!'” (or simply, ‘He was surprised to find that Hasan’s content on the platform went unpunished!’)

As an ardent admirer, I echoed Klein’s stance, repeatedly emphasizing that Hasan had been temporarily suspended due to his remarks regarding the hypothetical killing of a U.S. Senator on Twitch.

He remarked, “They no longer bother concealing their lack of concern at all!” he said. “It’s astonishing! They’re openly displaying it. frankly, I’m astounded.

Ethan Klein claims Hasan “told” Twitch CEO to unban him

Not long after, the ban was rescinded, with Twitch stating that it was a mistake, however, Klein proposed another hypothesis instead.

On his Instagram story, Klein expressed a high level of confidence that Hasan may have contacted Twitch CEO Dan Clancy to lift the ban against him, as he finds it hard to believe that they would act so unjustifiably and foolishly.

Word spreading fast on social media, people siding with Ethan over the ban, even Elon Musk, Twitch’s owner, voiced agreement about the alleged “uneven rules” or “biased treatment” on Twitch.

Co-founder Bijan Tehrani expressed a comparable viewpoint, alleging that Dan Clancy selectively invites individuals to his platform.

The H3 host plans to reshare the continuous broadcast of Hasan’s content bombardment on March 6th. Therefore, it remains uncertain whether Twitch will impose another ban on him or if their previous claim that it was a mistake was accurate.
