The 2025 Esports World Cup kickstarted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the start of a seven-week extravaganza with 24 games and an astounding $70 million prize pool at stake. The inaugural week will culminate in a grand Opening Ceremony on July 10, brimming with live acts such as headliner Post Malone and GRAMMY-nominated producer Alesso.

Beyond being an esteemed 9 times diamond-certified musician, Post Malone is also a longtime enthusiast of video games. He’s engaged with the gaming community by streaming Call of Duty: Warzone and PUBG, and has even collaborated on a project with Apex Legends.

Additionally, cellist Tina Guo, a unique collaboration between DINO from SEVENTEEN, Duckwrth, and Telle Smith of The Word Alive, are set to make their appearance. They will unveil the 2025 Esports World Cup Song of the Year, titled “Til My Fingers Bleed.

During the event, the city of Riyadh will enjoy an illuminated sky from fireworks and a drone display. The grand entrance commences at 9pm local time, leading directly into the official opening ceremony scheduled for 10pm local time.
