ESL Pro League Season 20 Format, Schedule & Prizes

Clearly visible in the image, the ESL Pro League Season 20 boasts an impressive prize fund of $750,000. The victor stands to receive $170,000 and 2,000 BLAST Premier points, which are crucial for teams aiming to secure a spot at the World Final later in the year.

The event runs from 3 to 22 September 2024 and features both a Group Stage and a Playoffs Stage.

The ESL Pro League Season 20 kicks off with four groups following a triple-elimination format. Each group has eight competing teams, and every match is best-of-three (BO3). The top team in each group moves forward to the Quarterfinals, while the second-place teams progress to the High Seed Round of 12 in the playoffs. The third-placed teams also advance to the High Seed Round of 16, whereas the fourth-placed teams make it to the Low Seed Round of 16. All other teams are eliminated from the tournament.

In this tournament setup, the structure is streamlined, featuring a straightforward single-elimination bracket. Each contest within the bracket is a best-of-three series, except for the final matchup, which is a best-of-five showdown.

In simple terms, the matches for groups A and B begin on September 3rd, 2024, while those for groups C and D start a week later, on September 10th, 2024. The playoffs will happen during the last week, culminating in the grand finale on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024.

I’m really looking forward to finding out who will emerge victorious in ESL Pro League Season 20. Will last year’s winners, MOUZ, prove their dominance again? Could Team Spirit maintain their impressive performance from Betboom Dacha Belgrade #2 and dominate the competition? Will FaZe Clan bounce back from their recent setbacks? Time will tell, but I suspect we might see either NAVI or Team Vitality in the final showdown!
