In a recent live broadcast, Battlestate Games unveiled their 2025 plan for Escape from Tarkov, promising exciting updates monthly prior to its anticipated release this year. However, there’s some curiosity about the process of transitioning BSG accounts onto Steam. How will that work exactly?

Escape from Tarkov 1.0 update is coming to Steam

For more than seven years now, Escape from Tarkov has remained active in its closed beta phase, demonstrating an impressive resilience. The game’s uncompromising realism and challenging mechanics have fostered a devoted player base who continue to engage – despite occasional slow updates, cheater issues, and the recent uproar over monetization with the Edge of Darkness and Unheard Editions.

Now, both “Escape from Tarkov” and “Tarkov Arena” are approaching their full version 1.0 release soon, but an exact date, not even the specific month, has yet to be announced. However, we do have a roadmap indicating monthly updates planned from May through August 2025.

The game Tarkov Arena is expected to be released on Steam shortly; however, the full game including Escape from Tarkov and its PvE mode will not appear on Steam until after the 1.0 update, and unfortunately, there’s still no specific date set for that.

On the contrary, many gamers are pondering over how they can move their version of Escape from Tarkov onto Steam. Some are dreaming about receiving a migration code via email, but in truth, it’s more likely that it will simply be Battlestate Games’ launcher accessible through Steam. This is the most straightforward solution, as things stand. Therefore, until the game officially becomes available on Valve’s platform, we can only speculate.
