Actor Eric Dane is set to rejoin the cast of “Euphoria” on April 14. Before his return, Dane revealed his diagnosis with ALS. In a statement to People magazine, he expressed gratitude for having his loving family by his side as they face this new chapter. He also shared that he feels fortunate to be able to continue working and is looking forward to returning to the set of “Euphoria” next week. He kindly asks for privacy during this time for himself and his family.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive condition that impacts the muscles. Over time, the muscles weaken, leading to challenges with movement, eating, and speaking for patients. Regrettably, there is currently no known cure. According to the Mayo Clinic, about half of all ALS patients pass away within 18 months of diagnosis; however, some individuals live for up to a decade or more following their diagnosis. An illustrative example is Stephen Hawking, who lived for several decades after his 1963 diagnosis.
Among the cast members of “Euphoria,” Eric Dane is one of those who have been confirmed to reappear in the eagerly awaited third season. Colman Domingo made this confirmation during an appearance on “WWHL” last year, and earlier this year, we got a sneak peek at Zendaya as Rue. Now that filming for “Wuthering Heights” has concluded, Dane’s on-screen son, Jacob Elordi, is also set to return to the show.
