Entertainment Partners, a company offering diverse solutions within the movie and television sector, declared on Monday their intention to acquire CASHét – a prominent payment processing service specifically tailored for production sets.
CASHét provides p-cards and handles accounts payable functions through an online portal.
Markham Goldstein, President and CEO of Entertainment Partners, stated in a press release that CashEt has constructed a cutting-edge digital payment system, which is highly respected within the industry. By incorporating CashEt into our system, we will be able to offer productions an exceptional, all-encompassing, end-to-end financial solution with unparalleled integration.
Entertainment Partners is responsible for payroll administration, budget management, and assistance in acquiring global production incentives from various governments. They also own Central Casting, a hub for acting talent, as well as other services. In the past, they have collaborated with CASHét to offer their CASHétPay payment system to their clients.
After the acquisition, CASHét plans to carry on providing the same array of services, while still collaborating with various payroll providers worldwide. At present, their complete service package is accessible only in the United States and Canada, with p-card options available for productions in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand as well. The acquisition’s primary objective includes extending these offerings to more international markets.
In a recent announcement, Paul Rogers, President of CASHét, expressed his enthusiasm about partnering with Entertainment Partners. He believes that this collaboration will open up a new and exciting phase for CASHét. With Entertainment Partners’ extensive global network, robust financial resources, and deep industry knowledge, there is potential to broaden the availability of our efficient payment solutions to numerous international markets.
Back in 2012, I found myself part of the exciting world of CASHét, a company that provides a unique credit card offering 1% cashback to independent film productions. Fast forward to today, and I’m proud to be associated with this innovative platform that has expanded its clientele to encompass major movie studios, streaming services, cable, and broadcast companies.
