As a seasoned film enthusiast with a soft spot for thrillers and a deep affection for Emma Roberts’ acting prowess, I can hardly contain my excitement about her upcoming project “Fourth Wall.” The fact that this movie will be shot at AlUla Studios, a brand new filmmaking destination in Saudi Arabia, adds an extra layer of intrigue to the whole endeavor.

The Emma Roberts thriller titled “Fourth Wall” is scheduled to commence filming at the newly constructed AlUla Studios in Saudi Arabia during the early months of next year.

The upcoming movie that was earlier mentioned is penned by Jerry Kontogiorgis and produced by Greg Silverman and Grant Torre from Hollywood indie Stampede Ventures. This will mark the debut in feature films for American director Alexis Ostrander, who boasts a wealth of TV experience on shows like “Servant” and “Interview With the Vampire.

In his second collaboration with Stampede following the romantic comedy “Space Cadet” for Amazon MGM Studios, “Fourth Wall” was released globally on Prime Video in July. (Paraphrased)

In “Fourth Wall,” Roberts portrays an ex-child television actor famed for a beloved sitcom, who experiences being abducted and subsequently finds himself in a meticulously crafted replica of the series’ stage, accompanied by the original cast members.

Phillip Jones, the Chief Tourism Officer at the Royal Commission for AlUla, declared that the selection of ‘Fourth Wall’ as the inaugural production at AlUla Studios signifies a significant milestone in our endeavor to make AlUla a top-tier global filmmaking hotspot,” stated in a release.

Partnering with Stampede Ventures emphasizes our dedication to realizing AlUla’s long-term goal as a worldwide center for creativity,” he further explained.

AlUla, located in northwest Saudi Arabia approximately the size of Belgium, encompasses a verdant oasis and expansive sandstone canyons. The AlUla Studios complex is an all-encompassing facility featuring a 30,000-square-foot soundstage, a backlot, production support buildings, warehouses, and a recording studio.

Over the past year, AlUla entered into a partnership with Stampede, aiming to introduce ten different productions to the region within the next three years, with an estimated investment of $350 million. This collaboration follows their successful venture on “K-Pops!”, the directorial debut of Anderson .Paak, who has won multiple Grammy awards.

Following an extremely satisfying filming of ‘K-Pops’ on set in AlUla, Stampede Ventures is excited to add more movies to our collaboration,” stated Greg Silverman, CEO of Stampede Ventures, in the announcement.

He mentioned that our films will showcase the distinctive charm of AlUla as an ideal backdrop for cinematic artistry, as well as the passionate enthusiasm and devotion to filmmaking held by the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Previous Hollywood films filmed in AlUla are the Gerard Butler action-thriller “Kandahar,” helmed by Ric Roman Waugh, and “Cherry,” a movie featuring Tom Holland under the direction of the Russo brothers (Anthony and Joe).
