Elon Musk tries to prove he’s a pro gamer again and fails miserably during PoE 2 stream

Perhaps he was momentarily sensitive following his daughter’s harsh criticism, but once more, Elon Musk was making an effort to demonstrate his gaming prowess. Yesterday, he gave it another go at displaying his skills in Path of Exile 2, and, as usual, the results were less than stellar. It seems nothing can deter Musk from trying to impress – not allegations of cheating in PoE 2 from the AC Shadows team, not the ongoing drama with the CEO of Reddit.

Elon Musk vs. PoE 2 – round two

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got to admit something: I’ve been using other people to play Path of Exile 2 on my account to boost my rankings. Now, I know it’s not fair, but I felt like I was at a disadvantage compared to the Asian players who seem to be doing the same thing. A while back, in a private chat with NikoWrex, I let slip that it’s tough to compete when you don’t resort to such tactics. However, when I stream, I always play on my own and I never intended to claim credit for someone else’s hard work.

On the 6th of April, Elon Musk broadcasted a gameplay session of PoE 2 from his private aircraft, aiming to demonstrate his gaming prowess. However, things took a turn for the worse as he encountered difficulty defeating Devourer, a secondary boss in Act 1. Although Devourer can be challenging, it’s not among the most formidable foes in Act 1. To be truthful, I don’t recall that encounter vividly – unlike my battle with the King in the Mists, which required significant modifications to my build before I could finally emerge victorious.

The Devourer demands continuous motion to dodge its lethal tail and handles its draining larvae. Musk didn’t quite stick to the strategy, and his second try was even more disastrous – he was defeated by the tutorial boss, The Bloated Miller. In the end, he concluded the broadcast with technical issues and a torrent of offensive messages flooding the chat room.

Reddit users, of course, aren’t holding back, saying:

It seems like we may have been a bit unforgiving towards GGG, considering that we’ve had the opportunity to challenge billionaire characters in the game, which is something unique that not many other games offer yet.

I bet the real reason GGG nerfed everything was so elon would die the second he started streaming

– RebbitTheForg

To be fair, the tutorial boss isn’t that easy if you have never played an ARPG before

YouTuber Quin69TV expressed his opinion about Elon Musk‘s recent attempt at playing “PoE 2”, stating bluntly that it would be extremely challenging for the billionaire to progress beyond Act 1 without significant assistance. He maintained that Musk lacks a comprehensive understanding of the game’s mechanics and has shown no improvement in his skills – despite having plenty of time to practice.
