Hasan responded to Elon Musk after the X owner blasted him over promoting Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
The launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows was preceded by a series of challenges, including debates about the main characters, issues with the Japanese authorities, and restrictions placed on streamers due to their sponsored content. Yet, in spite of these obstacles, it established a remarkable new benchmark for the franchise.
On March 25th, a user named Grummz, who previously worked as a game developer, shared a screenshot showing Hasan promoting Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Bluesky. In the post, Grummz also highlighted and criticized Ubisoft indirectly.
As a gamer, I find it revealing that Ubisoft seems to be pouring so much money into the pockets of streamers who platform controversial topics like terrorism. To put this into perspective, recall when Hasan interviewed someone sympathetic to the Houthi group back in January. The Houthi organization is recognized as a terrorist group by the US State Department.
A significant amount of information about Ubisoft can be inferred by observing their generosity towards streamers who have been accused of promoting terrorism.

Elon Musk, both the owner and CEO of Tesla, offered a counterpoint to Hasan’s critique concerning the game publisher and the streamer, providing his unique perspective.
Hasan mocks Elon Musk over calling him a “fraud”
In a few social media updates, the gaming enthusiast Musk, accused Hasan of being dishonest. Eight minutes after his initial claim, he added more remarks.
The SpaceX owner stated, “A more fitting term would be ‘cashing in,’ as it seems he’s endorsing a disappointing game solely for financial gain.
“Sell-out” would be more accurate.
Objectively, he is promoting a terrible game just for the money.

Instead of passively accepting the remark, Hasan countered by casting doubt on Musk’s past involvement in video games.
“This b*tch literally paid someone to powerlevel his character in POE2,” Hasan claimed.
Musk stirred up debate within the gaming world by boasting about his achievements in Diablo 4 and Path of Exile, only later confessing that others had been raising the levels on his game accounts for him.
1. This individual apparently hired someone to boost their character in Path of Exile 2, can’t help but laugh. But aren’t I accused of being a cheat myself? Elon, I dare you to a duel in Elden Ring. I promise to prepare a meal that will roll your large figure.
2. This guy apparently had someone else increase his character level in PoE2, can’t help but chuckle. Yet here I am, accused of being a fraud. Elon, let’s fight in Elden Ring. I guarantee you a feast that will make you roll.

The streamer said, “Why do I feel like a fake? Elon, I’d like to have a contest with you in Elden Ring. I promise to grill your plump, rolling form if I win.” The streamer continued with this challenge.
On multiple occasions, Musk has had public disputes with popular Twitch personalities. For instance, during the drama surrounding his account leveling, Musk engaged in a heated exchange with Asmongold, going as far as to share screenshots of their private messages.
Up until now, Musk hasn’t replied to Hasan’s challenge, leaving us uncertain as to whether or not the promised duel will truly transpire.
