Eddie Hearn says Dua Lipa issue is “absolute rubbish” & Joshua vs Fury is still on

Despite Dua Lipa’s unavailability to perform, the highly anticipated fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is still expected to happen later this year.

After years of rumors and several canceled attempts, the two top fighters will finally face each other in the ring.

Reports initially suggested that boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh had made the event conditional on Dua Lipa performing.

Dua Lipa won’t stop Joshua vs Fury fight

However, Joshua’s manager, Eddie Hearn, assures fans the fight isn’t going to be cancelled or postponed to accommodate Dua Lipa’s schedule, so they can look forward to it as planned.

Eddie Hearn told BBC Sport that he was surprised to receive calls from journalists asking if the fight was still happening because Dua Lipa wasn’t scheduled to perform. He admitted he had no idea where the rumor originated.

It really highlights how much misinformation is out there online. I saw someone asking if the fight was still happening, claiming Dua Lipa said she couldn’t make it. I wanted to assure everyone that the fight is still on, so there’s no need to worry.

The internet has a lot of inaccurate information! Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is confident that Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will fight, even if pop star Dua Lipa isn’t involved in the event.

Hearn is building excitement for the upcoming fight, predicting it will be a truly memorable event. He expressed his eagerness to witness the fighters enter the ring – Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury – as the referee starts the first round, and the crowd erupts with energy.

“I don’t need music. Give me the drama.”

Currently, a date for the fight hasn’t been set, but it’s anticipated to happen later this year. Netflix is also likely to stream the event, continuing their partnership with Saudi Arabia for sports broadcasts.
