EA reportedly returning to Fight Night boxing series after UFC 6

As a seasoned gamer who’s seen the rise and fall of numerous gaming franchises, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and skepticism at the potential return of EA Sports’ Fight Night boxing series. It’s been far too long since we’ve had a decent boxing game, and the prospect of a new Fight Night is tantalizing indeed.

According to reports, EA Sports plans to revive its boxing series, Fight Night, after launching UFC 6 in 2025.

As a passionate gamer, I’ve missed punching and jabbing in the Fight Night boxing series ever since Fight Night Champion back in 2011. But recently, it feels like the game is making a comeback – it’s like they’ve put it back on the table for us to pick up where we left off!

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve picked up some exciting news that’s got me pumped – word on the street is that Fight Night could be making a comeback! Mike Shaw, a reliable source in the gaming world, has shared insights suggesting this return has been brewing for quite some time. Originally, it seems the plan was to drop Fight Night between the releases of UFC games. Can’t wait to see how the developers bring this classic back to life!

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been keeping tabs on this title that was once in development, only to see it halt, resume, and then stop again. But here’s some exciting news: insiders are whispering that Electronic Arts (EA) is back at the drawing board with the project! Now, I can’t tell you when we’ll finally get our hands on this game, but rumors suggest it’s destined for next-gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Keep your fingers crossed, fellow gamers!

“EA has kept a close eye on Steel City Interactive and Undisputed,” he added, referencing 2024’s newest boxing title. “They aren’t worried about affording licenses, because EA has billions of dollars. They’re worried about the interest and the sales.”

Shaw also stated that Electronic Arts (EA) acknowledges the popularity of Undisputed and believes there’s a substantial audience interested in a new installment of Fight Night.

He further stated, “The topic is once again under consideration. After a series of stops and starts over the years, Electronic Arts (EA) has entered a phase where they are actively working towards its release. A timeframe of approximately three to four years seems reasonable. If I were to make an educated guess, I’d say we might see Fight Night return in 2027, possibly.

Hello! If you caught The Mike Straw Show last night, you learned that UFC 6 is currently being developed and the resumption of Fight Night is once more under consideration at EA Sports.

At the moment, UFC 6 is aiming for a release in 2025. If Fight Night doesn’t get delayed again, it could reappear following that.

The insider went on to note that EA was still working on UFC games at the same time, but believes that Fight Night will come out after UFC 6.

Of course, until there’s some confirmation, take all of this with a grain of salt, especially considering just how complicated a Fight Night revival has been with so many attempts to reboot the series over the years.
