EA Confirms Forthcoming Star Wars Jedi Game Will Be The Last In The Series

As a die-hard Star Wars fan who’s spent countless hours in virtual galaxies, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming Star Wars Jedi game! Having grown up with Cal Kestis and his epic adventures since Fallen Order, I’m eager to see how they wrap up his story in this final chapter.

During a recent Investor Day event, Electronic Arts (EA) unveiled financial data and crucial information about forthcoming titles and projects underway at their various studios. The Star Wars Jedi series update was part of the gaming segment, which also included Battlefield, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and Skate – with the latter slated for Early Access in 2025.

According to Laura Miele, the head of EA Entertainment and Technology, the next Star Wars Jedi game being developed by Respawn Entertainment is the final chapter in a planned trilogy. Previously overseen by its original game director, Stig Asmussen, this project will continue without his leadership.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and nostalgia as I prepare for my last adventure with Cal Kestis in this game series, at least for now – who knows what the future holds! The talented team behind Respawn is tirelessly working to bring us the final chapter of this thrilling saga, which they plan to release worldwide soon. It’s incredible to think that Respawn has already delivered some of the highest-quality and best-selling Star Wars games ever made, with a staggering $5 billion in net bookings. I can hardly wait for them to add another feather to their cap when the final Jedi game is finally launched!

Miele went on to say that “this remarkable track record” has resulted in more than 40 million gamers playing Star Wars Jed: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor since their initial launches, and it’s expected to achieve similar success when the final Jedi game is unveiled. Additionally, it’s conceivable that additional players have become part of Cal’s thrilling journey as Respawn has recently made Star Wars Jedi: Survivor available on last-generation consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) from September 17th, 2024.

The publisher and developer haven’t given more information about the upcoming Star Wars Jedi game, so there are still many unknowns about Cal Kestis’ concluding storyline. However, this lack of detail will likely spark lots of conversations online about the creative direction for the final Star Wars Jedi game, which is known to have a new director overseeing it.
