S Tier Characters – Best Units in E.T.E. Chronicle
As a passionate enthusiast, I can’t help but sing praises about our top-tier mechas. These extraordinary machines, marked by S rarity, either excel spectacularly in their designated roles or come equipped with versatile kits that transcend traditional boundaries, making complex team compositions and high-difficulty scenarios a breeze to manage.
Character | Rarity / Type | Pros & Cons |
---|---|---|
![]() Avenger (Obsidian) | S (Assault, Naval, Nuclear) | + Constant target peeling with consistent DEF ignore, full penetration of D.S-Field + True Damage bonus in Ultimate – Continuous damage suggests it might take a bit longer to defeat bulkier targets |
![]() Devastator (Cat-eye) | S (Support, Ground, Photon) | + A healer who also debuffs both targets’ EN/AP and Durability recovery + Currently the only S rarity support unit in the game + Especially useful in longer/boss battles where her abilities can recharge multiple times in battle – Cooldown on some skills means she probably won’t see much usage in mob-only battles |
![]() Kaspian Mk. III (Icicle) | S (Heavy, Naval, Nuclear) | + Provides both AoE damage and enemy debuffs on top of being a Heavy, high Normal Attack frequency + Deflection in combo with high Armor and Shield makes her super tanky – One-mecha army especially beneficial to beginners |
![]() Wave-less (Deneb) | S (Special, Ground, Photon) | + High damage to both D.S-Field and the target, unaffected by target’s defense effects + Additionally buffs the team AP restoration that easily stacks up to 5 – Varying attack effects based on stacks of status may be difficult to predict |
![]() Yao-Guang (Long-ang) | S (Assault, Aerial, Photon) | + High, boss-oriented damage output both to D.S-Field and the target unit + Durability self-recovery makes her sturdier – Slightly tricky planning around the teamwide durability-consuming ultimate |
A Tier Characters
Units of rarity boast unique abilities and impressive stats that are notably superior, given the usual standards for their level of rarity.
Character | Rarity / Type | Pros & Cons |
---|---|---|
![]() Iwatoshi (Yukiwari) | S (Special, Ground, Magnetism) | + AoE attacks and Ultimate help control larger numbers of enemies + Both buffs the team Armor and can restrict enemy actions |
![]() Rhine (Ruler) | S (Assault, Naval, Photon) | + High firepower with additional accuracy buffs – Ultimate makes more sense in one-enemy scenarios |
![]() Schmelzfeuer (Ruler) | S (Special, Ground, Magnetism) | + High AoE firepower with self-buffing – Helps stack even more debuffs for debuff oriented team compositions |
![]() Seablade (Chisha) | S (Assault, Naval, Penumbra) | + AoE damager especially geared towards Naval levels, coming with some debuffs + One of very few Penumbra-type units currently in the game – Full potential only available on Naval maps |
![]() White Swan (Icicle) | S (Assault, Aerial, Resonance) | + Critical damage oriented unit, super fast normal attacks for big numbers – Slightly counterintuitive kit elements, with some buffs made for attacking multiple targets and some single targets |
![]() Zumwalt (Bratz) | S (Special, Naval, Resonance) | + Debuffer specialist with target EN/AP recovery restrictions, Armor, Resistance reduction – Ultimate attacks all enemies, but she deals more damage the less enemies there are on the field |
B Tier Characters
Intermediate-level characters (B-tier) are mechanical entities possessing versatile abilities that make them excel in their assigned roles. An added advantage is the reduced resources needed to construct a top-tier A rarity unit.
Character | Rarity / Type | About |
---|---|---|
![]() Lionguard (Blade-Shadow) | A (Heavy, Aerial, Nuclear) | A Heavy that reduces team-received damage, while dealing some slower AoE damage |
![]() Leclerc MX (Emily) | A (Special, Ground, Nuclear) | A buffer/debuffer whose Ultimate may prove difficult to target the desired enemies |
![]() Caesar (Louise) | A (Support, Naval, Nuclear) | A decent support who can continually restore Durabilty, with Ultimate targeting an ally with lowest Durability |
![]() Barrier (Halite) | A (Heavy, Naval, Magnetism) | A Heavy who also sports some debuffs for enemy targets, along with additional self-targeted Armor buffs |
![]() Chieftain (Cold-Flame) | A (Special, Ground, Magnetism) | A classic buffer/debuffer with ally EN/AP recovery and high Firepower |
![]() Kotetsu-Kai (Mukuge) | A (Assault, Ground, Magnetism) | An attacker who ignores some of enemies’ defense while debuffing them with Durability recovery |
![]() Apocalypse (Icicle) | A (Special, Ground, Magnetism) | Like the S rarity Icicle White Swan, she is critical damage oriented with debuffs a special unit brings |
![]() Stryker (Bratz) | A (Special, Ground, Magnetism) | An armor and stat shredder who can also increase ally EN/AP recovery |
![]() White-Hawk (Stikka) | A (Special, Aerial, Resonance) | A critical-oriented specialist who has the capacity to ignore target’s defense and some buffs |
![]() Dawnbreak (Louise) | A (Support, Ground, Resonance) | A support whose Ultimate brings DoT healing to her team |
![]() Asagiri (Suzuran) | A (Assault, Naval, Resonance) | An Assault with a straightforward Ultimate, big numbers, some debuffs, and defense ignore |
![]() Wyrm (Celesilver) | A (Special, Naval, Resonance) | A special with high durability thanks to her Shield capacity and increased armor |
![]() Vampire (Cold-flame) | A (Assault, Aerial, Resonance) | Like the name suggests, she is pretty durable with her self-repare ability, but also offers buffs for ally damage |
![]() Raikiri Type 16 (Stikka) | A (Assault, Ground, Penumbra) | The game will naturally guide you to level Raikiri Type 16, who is more suited towards bossfights |
C Tier Characters
Units that are scarcely found and possess fewer abilities, making them less attractive for teams. To create an excellent team composition, aim for units from the specified ET Chronicle tiers instead.
Character | Rarity / Type |
---|---|
![]() Zero-Wing (Mukuge) | A (Special, Aerial, Nuclear) |
![]() Hessen (Lens) | A (Special, Naval, Nuclear) |
![]() Longbow (Bratz) | A (Assault, Aerial, Nuclear) |
![]() Glacierov (Velvet) | A (Assault, Ground, Nuclear) |
![]() Tornado IDS (Candela) | A (Assault, Aerial, Nuclear) |
![]() Osafune Type90 (Suzuran) | A (Heavy, Ground, Nuclear) |
![]() Flyshark (Chisha) | A (Assault, Aerial, Magnetism) |
![]() Blitzwind (Ruler) | A (Special, Aerial, Resonance) |
![]() Transall (Lens) | A (Support, Aerial, Resonance) |
![]() Abrams (Obsidian) | A (Heavy, Ground, Resonance) |
D Tier Characters
Instead of relying on them for critical tasks since there’s usually someone else who can step in quickly, it would be prudent to avoid depending excessively on them.
Character | Rarity / Type |
---|---|
![]() Voidbreak (Chisha) | A (Special, Ground, Nuclear) |
![]() Otomatic (Silverspoon) | A (Assault, Ground, Resonance) |
![]() Kirishima (Yukiwari) | A (Special, Naval, Resonance) |
