The upcoming Dying Light 2 and Balatro collaboration brings together different universes, but it’s as if clown character Jimbo was tailor-made for this setting. In fact, he appears to be downright thrilled about the idea of some undead slaying in the trailer for the Aiden’s Friend Pack.
In this offer, you’ll discover that Dying Light 2 developer Techland has hidden two additional missions within the game. To unlock these, look out for “the enigmatic posters in the Bazaar and the Fish Eye.” Solving the riddles associated with these will challenge your understanding of Villedor. Completing these quests will reward you with various items within the game.
- Jimbo’s Outfit–No clowning around with this outfit on, you’ve got a job to do: kill some zombies!
- Ceremonial Dagger–It’s no longer just a Joker. Grab the dagger and show ’em you’re not bluffing! Increase your multiplier by defeating different types of enemies, performing finishers and destroying Joker Charms. Note: the multiplier is reset when the weapon is repaired, so get all you can out of it!
- Joker Charm–Which Joker will you get? Who knows! Create a charm, and you’ll receive a random one with a unique gameplay effect. Just like in Balatro, some will be more useful than others.
- Flying Blind Paraglider–You might miss out on a few chips, but every poker player has to have an exit plan when the odds aren’t looking good.
Balatro isn’t new to teaming up with other games – it has previously worked with Dead by Daylight, Civilization VII, Critical Role, Assassin’s Creed, Fallout, Bugsnax, Slay the Princess, and Rust. The creator of Balatro, LocalThunk, recently finished playing his own game for the first time. Notably, actor Jack Black has asked gamers to share their tips for playing Balatro with him. This year alone, sales of Balatro surpassed 5 million units across all platforms.
Regarding Dying Light, the upcoming game in the series, titled Dying Light: The Beast, is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 22. Notably, Techland has stated that they currently do not intend to port Dying Light 2 over to the Nintendo Switch 2.
