Dunkin’ is doubling its extra large size with gigantic 48 oz buckets of coffee

Dunkin’ is significantly increasing the caffeine kick with a new, extra-large drink size. They’re testing 48-ounce buckets – much bigger than anything they’ve offered before – and people online are already talking about it.

Dunkin’s new oversized drinks are served in a large, bucket-like container complete with a handle, lid, and extra-long straw. It can hold almost half a gallon of any of their iced beverages.

This new size is double the amount of the chain’s previous largest offering and exceeds the portion sizes of many other restaurants.

Dunkin’ unleashes massive 48-oz beverage buckets

Dunkin’ is currently testing 48-ounce ‘Beverage Buckets’ at a few stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, like those in Durham and Lee, NH, and Amherst and Foxborough, MA. They’ve been so popular that some locations have already run out of their initial supply.

Dunkin’s new, extra-large buckets aren’t limited to just regular iced coffee. You can now get a 48-ounce size for iced lattes and their fruit-flavored Refreshers too. Prices start around $8.89 for iced coffee and go up to about $9.49 for Refreshers, depending on what you order.

People online are really excited about the new buckets! They love how different they are and are sharing pictures and jokes – some are even playfully complaining they’re too big to fit in car cup holders. Customers are reporting the buckets keep drinks cold for over five hours, and many are hoping the buckets will be available across the country before summer.

Dunkin’ isn’t alone in offering larger sizes – McDonald’s is also increasing its offerings with bigger fries, known as “Grand” fries, in international markets.

IKEA joined the fun by creating a giant 20-inch hot dog for customers in the UAE, dwarfing the famous $1.50 hot dog sold at Costco.
