The most recent update for “Dune: Awakening” has been activated, and although it doesn’t bring any significant modifications, it still enhances the game’s server stability within Funcom’s freshly launched MMO.
Awakening thus far has included similar language, even since its initial release.
In my excitement, I wanted to share some details about the recent update. For starters, Funcom has temporarily disabled the option to betray NPC Jocasta Cleo as part of the “Impact of Ecology” contract. This is due to reports that players were unable to reclaim this contract after betraying her. On a related note, the dialogue options for the Advanced Planetologist quest “The Search for Kynes” have been updated. Previously, there was an issue where players who defected from House Atreides found themselves unable to progress the quest if they had accepted it prior to defection. Thankfully, this problem has now been addressed by Funcom.
This update resolves a problem that previously prevented players from editing the descriptions for their guild, sub-fief console, or base blueprint designs.
On June 10, Dune: Awakening was launched with a five-day pre-release phase, and it’s been thriving on Steam since then, managing to attract over 140,000 simultaneous players. At the moment, Dune: Awakening is exclusive to PC gaming, but a console version has been scheduled for release in 2026.
