Duke Dennis splits fans after joking he wants to run for US President

As a seasoned gamer and follower of the online entertainment world, I must confess that Duke Dennis’ recent comments about running for US President in 2028 have left me with a mix of amusement and skepticism. Having grown up watching him on YouTube and Twitch, I can’t help but remember the days when he was just another gamer like myself, navigating virtual worlds instead of political ones.

A well-known figure on YouTube and Twitch, Duke Dennis, stirred up a debate among his followers when he playfully suggested he might aim for the U.S. Presidency in 2028, at the age of 35.

Duke Dennis is a well-known figure in the digital entertainment scene, with more than three million subscribers on YouTube and approximately 2.5 million followers on Twitch.

Based on his influence, people online tend to listen to his opinions… however, certain remarks he made about the predicted outcome of the 2024 U.S. presidential election ignited intense discussions on social media platforms.

This election has made me realize that racial bias is sadly still prevalent,” he expressed during a broadcast on November 10. “We experience it daily, and one might assume that by the large year of 2024, such issues would be resolved; however, this is not the case.

Following this, the streamer made a statement that left his audience both stunned and entertained: “Duke Dennis is aiming for the presidency in 2028. By then, I will be 35 years old. If you were to cast your vote for me, I genuinely believe I would do an excellent job.

In the United States, candidates must be at least 35 years old to qualify for the presidency; however, Dennis advocates for an additional maximum age requirement. He posits that, due to the rapid pace of global change, it may not be beneficial for leaders who are approaching retirement age to make significant decisions, as they will not reap the benefits or bear the consequences of their actions.

As a passionate advocate, I express, “I’d offer a fresh viewpoint on what America requires as a nation. In my mind, it’s like, ‘How can someone from an older generation, or an elder in particular… they’re so outdated. They’re 80! They’re knocking on the door!’

Duke Dennis expresses his concern that the recent election underscores the persistence of racism, and he’s puzzled over who qualifies to run for president given some candidates’ advanced age. He promises to work towards altering these rules when he reaches the eligible age for presidency in 2028, at which point he will be 35 years old and able to run himself, feeling quite emotional about it 😭

Despite the fact that Dennis was merely joking about entering politics, commentators showed a significant split in their opinions regarding his supposed plans.

“We will NOT be voting for him,” one viewer wrote.

“We gonna get Duke running for president before GTA 6,” another joked.

“Bruh, these people should stick to streaming. They’re reaching out too much,” yet another said.

Besides Duke, there are other influential figures who have pondered the prospect of becoming President. For instance, YouTube sensation MrBeast has occasionally mentioned this possibility, stating that he would resist influence from lobbyists and solely focus on what’s best for the American people should he get elected.

As a passionate fan, I can’t help but share the intriguing news that YouTuber-turned-WWE star, Logan Paul, has hinted at his presidential aspirations in 2032. In an unexpected twist, he’s even suggested appointing his brother, YouTube sensation Jake Paul, as his Secretary of Defense if he were to win the election. Now, that’s a political duo I wouldn’t mind watching unfold!
