Dubai has been gaining attention due to its establishment of an “Influencer Training Center,” where aspiring social media personalities can earn money by documenting their journeys within the city, potentially leading to a permanent employment opportunity.
Instead of pursuing careers as doctors or lawyers, recent studies indicate that more than half of Generation Z are interested in becoming influencers. In line with this trend, Dubai is taking steps to facilitate this career path.
Beginning in May 2025, a UAE city is inviting four aspiring influencers to reside in their ‘Golden City’ by enrolling them in the “Beautiful Destinations Academy.” Applications are now open.
For a span of three months, these four rising online personalities will acquire abilities such as marketing, video editing, brand development, and cinematography, along with knowledge about Dubai’s tourism sector and “business ethics and savvy.
5 days a week, students will engage in training sessions. They are welcome to share their city experiences openly on various platforms. In return, they’ll enjoy the privilege of residing in a fully-funded luxury apartment, receive a comfortable income, and gain entry to some of Dubai’s most breathtaking and exclusive sites, typically reserved for celebrities and nobility.
Upon completing their studies at the Dubai College of Tourism, students will receive a certificate. However, it is the exceptionally talented individuals who stand a chance to secure a full-time position with Beautiful Destinations post graduation.
Dubai is paying influencers for glitzy training “academy”
In a statement given to The Times UK, Jeremy Jauncey, CEO of Beautiful Destinations, underscored the point that the selected interns in no manner are being forced or coerced to share any kind of content at all.
According to Jauncey, what we’re not searching for are individuals who aspire to be hosts, presenters, or those seeking a career in front of the camera. Instead, it’s more about identifying people with a knack for narrating captivating travel tales.

Apart from this, Janucey emphasizes that he encourages students to express themselves freely by sharing the stories they wish to narrate and creating the content they desire.
Issam Kazim, the CEO of Visit Dubai, added his thoughts on the “influencer academy,” describing it as a reflection of our dedication to nurturing creativity, groundbreaking ideas, and outstanding quality within the tourism industry.
Candidates are required to upload a 1-minute long travel video they’ve edited and narrated, demonstrating their abilities in video production and storytelling.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve noticed quite the buzz lately about Dubai, especially on social media. There’s this mouthwatering dessert named ‘Dubai Chocolate’ that’s been trending so much it’s created a global scarcity of pistachios!
