As a seasoned movie buff with a penchant for indie gems and offbeat humor, I’m genuinely thrilled about the guest lineup for “Very Important People” Season 2 on Dropout. The twist of makeovers and impromptu character creation promises an intriguing blend of familiar faces in unexpected roles.

Indie broadcaster Dropout has announced the complete list of celebrity guests for the second season of the comedic talk show “Very Important People,” hosted by Vic Michaelis.

As a devoted cinephile, I must share my excitement about “Very Important People”, a unique talk show where Michaelis graciously guides the stage. The intriguing twist? Each guest undergoes a surprising makeover before their conversation and is tasked with instantly conjuring up a character to play throughout the interview! It’s like stepping into a film set, right in the heart of each episode!

After the August 14 announcement of the celebrity cast for the initial eight episodes of “Very Important People” Season 2, premiering on November 7, it has been verified that Bobby Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live”), Nicole Byer (“Nailed It!”), Echo Kellum (“Arrow”), Corin Wells (“A Black Lady Sketch Show”), Alex Song-Xia (“Rick & Morty”) and Paul Robalino (“Smarypants”) will star in episodes 9 through 16.

Moreover, “Very Important People” Season 1 stars Brennan Lee Mulligan (from “Dimension 20”), Izzy Roland (of “Sex Lives of College Girls”) and Lisa Gilroy (“Glamorous”) are set to reappear in different characters this time around.

In the upcoming Season 2 of “Very Important People,” several new faces will join the cast during the first half. These include John Early from “Search Party” and Kate Berlant from “Don’t Worry Darling.” Additionally, we have Danielle Pinnock from “Ghosts,” Chris Redd known for his work on “Saturday Night Live,” and Paul F. Tompkins best recognized from “Bojack Horseman.

Michaelis’ “Very Important People” is one of several series introduced by Dropout, recognized for shows like “Game Changer”, “Make Some Noise”, and “Dimension 20”. This year, the first season of “Very Important People”, which aired 12 episodes between December 2023 and May 2024, was a significant focus in Dropout’s initial Emmy Awards campaign.

The show “Very Important People” has David Kerns, Sam Reich, and Michaelis as its executive producers. Tamar Levine, who directed all Season 2 episodes and also serves as co-executive producer, works alongside Paul Robalino and Kyle Rohrbach in this capacity. Ebony Elaine Hardin is a supervising producer on the series, with Ariel Zucker acting as a regular producer.
