A week ago, I was privileged to get my hands on the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake! As part of this sneak peek, we were given some exciting news about the game’s launch date and platform. Alongside the previously announced launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam), the game will also debut simultaneously on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 30, 2025! As of now, it’s unclear if there will be a free or paid upgrade for this version of the game. I’ll keep you posted if any further details emerge.
Back in March 2025, during the Nintendo Direct, we were treated to a glimpse of the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D remake. A fresh trailer also hinted at potential new content that could be included with these revamps. Today’s announcement from Square Enix has eased the anticipation slightly by sharing a fresh batch of screenshots. As we eagerly wait for the game’s release, keep an eye out for more updates in the coming weeks and months!
