As a dedicated Dota 2 fan with countless hours spent battling it out in the arena and following the Crownfall saga since its inception, I can say that Act IV, The Spires of Skywrath, is nothing short of breathtaking! The wait has been long, but Valve’s latest update brings an emotional conclusion to Shen’s journey and introduces a fresh new playable character, Kez.

The wait is over for Dota 2 fans as Valve has finally released the Crownfall Act IV update, the epic finale of a multi-part saga that has captivated players since its launch in mid-April. This update not only concludes the Crownfall storyline but also introduces a new hero, Kez, marking one of the most extensive releases for the game in recent years.

In Act IV named “The Skywrath Spires“, players find themselves at the core of the Skywrath realm, as Princess Shen makes her triumphant return to reclaim her throne following her younger sister Imperia’s treachery. Shen’s odyssey has been a moving tale, driven by the influence of the Vengeful Spirit, leading up to an exhilarating final confrontation with Imperia within the notorious Nest of Thorns, where everything hangs in the balance.

In Act IV titled “The Spires of Skywrath,” the grand finale of the sprawling Crownfall event unfolds, offering a fresh overworld map, three separate main missions, additional side quests, and mini-games, as well as a brand new character to join the playable roster.

In the heat of this grand fight, Kez, the latest Dota 2 character, enters as a powerful warrior with an exceptional playstyle. His Kazurai Katana and Shodo Sai combine to create a versatile set of combat skills unique to him. Players first encountered him in Act III, where he assisted as a supporting character amidst the chilling landscapes of Icewrack.

With the introduction of Kez, now a playable character, players are buzzing with anticipation as they gain additional tactical choices for navigating the trials of Crownfall. Those who invested in Pathfinder packs can rejoice, as they will have another chance to secure unique Act IV rewards – including rare Crownfall-themed towers and highly sought-after Crownfall character stickers.

For new players diving into the world of Crownfall, Valve has extended access to the earlier acts until January 15, 2025, giving you plenty of time to delve into the story from its beginnings right up to this dramatic conclusion. Don’t forget to use your Crownfall Coins and finish any outstanding quests as the event comes to a close.
