In Overwatch 2’s Season 15, there’s a funny glitch making Doomfist look cooler than ever, and surprisingly, players aren’t eager for Blizzard to correct it just yet.
After several weeks of eager waiting, Overwatch 2’s Season 15 has arrived, and this seasonal overhaul is quite significant. The comeback of loot boxes and the introduction of a completely novel Perks system, which significantly alters the gameplay dynamics, make it one of the most substantial updates since Blizzard transitioned to the sequel.
Absolutely, in addition to all the fresh and recurring elements, there’s the regular lineup of cosmetic updates. In this season, we have a brand-new Battle Pass, an enticing Mythic, and a new weapon skin as well. Interestingly, it’s this last addition that’s causing a peculiar glitch with Doomfist.
Although the latest Galactic weapon variant is undeniably extraordinary, it seems to have strayed beyond its designated zone. Instead of confining itself to weapon-related aspects, which is its primary role, this version is humorously venturing into unconventional territory.
Doomfist goes galactic with dazzling visual bug
The recently introduced Galactic weapon modification, which you can acquire using your Competitive Points, is now joined by the long-standing Golden and Jade themes. Being the latest addition to our collection, it does come with certain initial challenges.
A peculiarity was observed on Reddit, where a user named Finn posted a comical glitch in the game’s menus. While previewing the Galactic skin for Doomfist with the Saitama skin from the One Punch Man collaboration equipped, the starry effect was seen extending to his cape instead of just his fist.

The backside of the character design gets blasted off to space, or it can be made radiant jade green if you prefer. Surprisingly, Doom benefits significantly from using different weapon variants when this skin is selected.
3. Option C: The character’s back is either launched into outer space, or it takes on a luminous jade green hue with the Jade effect. By chance, Doom gains additional worth when he equips various weapon types while wearing this skin.

As I type this, it’s uncertain if this visual glitch from the menus will transfer into the game itself, potentially distracting other players with unique capes. So far, Blizzard has not acknowledged or resolved the problem, leaving us in a waiting phase as Season 15 commences.
It’s worth noting that players have swiftly addressed this bug, and surprisingly, many are not complaining about it but instead expressing a desire for it to remain permanent.
Without warning, a top-tier weapon option was praised by one player,” stated one individual. “Another agreed, calling it ‘exactly what’s needed for the fresh look of competitive play’,” they added.
Instead of causing harm, it’s an unintentional issue, but don’t worry, Blizzard will rectify it eventually. If given the choice, players might prefer to glide across the map adorned with this Galactic cloak instead.
