As a seasoned gamer with decades of pixel-blasting and demon-slaying under my belt, let me tell you, this year is shaping up to be a glorious one for us Doom enthusiasts! The nostalgia hits hard when I hear about the enhanced versions of the original Doom and its sequel, Doom II. These games are like old friends that have just received a fresh makeover, ready to cause chaos all over again.
As a long-time fan of the iconic Doom series, I’m thrilled to share my excitement about QuakeCon 2024, which is just around the corner! Over the years, I’ve witnessed the evolution of this legendary franchise and its impact on the gaming world. The upcoming event promises to be a special occasion for us fans, with numerous cool reveals already underway.
Apart from the highly anticipated Doom Anthology, another thrilling game launch is on the horizon for the franchise. In 2025, Limited Run Games plans to release a physical version of the original Doom game for Super Nintendo. This edition will be available in two versions: standard and collector’s edition. Both editions will include a poster and instruction manual. At the moment, you can’t place an order for the Limited Run’s SNES cartridge release of Doom, but keep an eye on this site when it becomes available.
