As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must admit, I find myself both excited and cautiously optimistic about the upcoming N7 Day. The Mass Effect series has been an integral part of my gaming journey, and the anticipation for its next installment is palpable.
On November 7th, we’ll be celebrating N7 Day, a special occasion dedicated to the Mass Effect series. Traditionally, BioWare has unveiled some exciting news or sneak peeks about the franchise on this day, and with a new game in development, fans are eagerly anticipating what surprise might be in store.
On N7 Day, BioWare aims to keep things more low-key as they recently launched Dragon Age: The Veilguard. However, they hinted at some exciting tidbits they plan to reveal for N7 Day fans.
Hey fellow gamers, I’ve been totally engrossed in DragonAge: The Veilguard lately, can’t wait for everyone else to experience it too! In just a few days, we’ll be celebrating #N7Day, but this year things will be more subdued due to the game launch. Don’t worry though, there’s still some fun in store, so keep an eye out then!

2023 saw BioWare celebrating N7 Day with a sequence of enigmatic hints about the upcoming Mass Effect game, but these turned out to be rather vague. In 2022, they unveiled an intriguing concept art piece, and a year prior to that, another elusive artwork hinted at the potential return of the Geth.
BioWare has announced that they won’t be creating any more expansions for The Veilguard, instead focusing on their next project in the Mass Effect series. While specific details about the upcoming game remain scarce, it has been confirmed that key personnel, including its executive producer, art director, creative director, and game director, are all seasoned veterans from the original Mass Effect trilogy.
The next Mass Effect game was announced in 2020, so it’s been in development for years.
The Mass Effect franchise began in 2007, expanding with two primary sequels, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. In 2017, another installment, titled Mass Effect: Andromeda, was released. However, it didn’t garner the same positive response as its predecessors, receiving criticism for aspects such as its storyline, character movements, and mission construction.
Following the release of Andromeda, BioWare’s subsequent title, Anthem, failed to strike a chord with fans similarly. Generally, it’s the second installment of the Mass Effect series, Mass Effect 2, that garners the most praise. This game earned a near-perfect score of 9/10 in TopMob’s review.
