He disclosed that there is indeed a concept for it, although development has experienced some setbacks, there has been some progress recently. He emphasized that they aim to make the third film something truly comprehensive and unique, which poses a challenge. Here’s his statement:

“There’s a concept, but we’ve had some ‘backward progress.’ However, in the last few months, there has been ‘some minimal progress.’ We want the third movie to be ‘something really complete’ and different, which makes it difficult.

For a while, things seemed to be going backward on our project, but I remain optimistic that we’ll make progress soon. There’s an idea floating around – it’s quite challenging because our aim is for any potential new movie not to resemble Don’t Breathe and its sequel too closely. We want something fresh, original, and complete, which isn’t easy to find. Fede, Rodo, and I have discussed it recently, and there’s been some movement, albeit small. I sincerely hope we can proceed with this project because I’d love to finally put the old buzzard to rest. [Laughs]
