As a dedicated follower of politics and a long-time viewer of political conventions, I was truly impressed by the record-breaking viewership numbers during the final night of the 2024 Republican National Convention. The anticipation in the air was palpable as we waited for the appearance of the former president and current presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
On the last night of the 2024 Republican National Convention, a record-breaking 25.4 million people tuned in on average, with the viewership reaching a peak of 28.4 million when former president and presidential hopeful Donald Trump took the stage to deliver his speech.
On Thursdays, there was a 41% jump in viewership compared to the 18 million people who watched on Wednesdays, during vice presidential candidate JD Vance’s speech at the convention. The convention kicked off on Mondays with an average of 18.1 million viewers, but this number dropped down to 14.8 million viewers on Tuesdays.
