An actor who has been nominated for an Oscar recently had a road rage encounter with another cyclist, who reportedly called him “deluded” during the argument.
I just saw some newly released footage, courtesy of The Sun, and it’s…well, a bit strange. Apparently filmed earlier this year near King’s Cross in London, it shows a pretty heated exchange between a major MCU star and someone on a bicycle – and that cyclist was wearing a mask. It’s a surprisingly confrontational clip, and I’m definitely curious to learn more about what sparked the argument.
Benedict Cumberbatch Got in a Heated Exchange Over an Alleged Missed Red Light
According to a witness, just before the argument began, the actor was speeding along a bike lane on a cargo bike, with another cyclist following him. Cumberbatch then rode across the road to confront the other cyclist, and a heated argument started, with the other person claiming Cumberbatch had run a red light while cycling.
A ten-minute argument unfolded in public, with onlookers stunned as a masked cyclist angrily accused Benedict Cumberbatch of being out of touch and insisted he’d been following the actor the whole time. Cumberbatch responded by saying the cyclist was verbally attacking him.
The frustrated man replied with sarcasm, saying something along the lines of, “Oh no, I really laid into the person who consistently broke the law,” and Cumberbatch appeared to concede that he had done so once.
Another cyclist claimed Benedict Cumberbatch ran a red light and went through a crosswalk. Cumberbatch disagreed, and the two argued for several minutes. According to reports, Cumberbatch didn’t seem bothered by the incident and even took selfies with fans afterward.
The popular actor, known for his roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was recently involved in a road rage incident. While riding his motorcycle, he had an argument with a neighbor who claimed he was speeding and making too much noise. The neighbor blocked the actor’s path, causing him to fall off his bike. This incident happened only a few months after a previous event.
Following a tense argument that was recorded, the situation escalated into a physical altercation after the actor attempted to calm things down. His neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, reported to the police that the actor punched and kicked him. Authorities later confirmed the case was closed.
