Disney Unveils Two New Marvel Rides At Avengers Campus

As a seasoned gamer and Marvel enthusiast with over two decades of comic book adventures under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming attractions at California Adventure’s Avengers Campus! The announcement of Avengers: Infinity Defense has sent my adrenaline soaring, and the thought of battling King Thanos across various Marvel dimensions is a dream come true.

For two years now, Disney has been planning a new Marvel-themed attraction at California Adventure’s Avengers Campus, with King Thanos as the antagonist. This week at D23, they unveiled a sneak peek of the vehicle that guests will use to traverse the multiverse. They’ve also just revealed the name of this exciting ride: it will be called “Avengers: Infinity Defense”.

In this amusement park tale, Tony Stark has invented a revolutionary portal system, transporting visitors to various dimensions. However, this innovation has caught the eye of King Thanos, a powerful incarnation of the Mad Titan who emerged victorious in an alternate Marvel universe’s Infinity War. Since Avengers Campus exists within a different Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline where Thanos didn’t wipe out half the population, the heroes are unsure about what his intentions might be. Unfortunately for our superheroes, King Thanos is planning to set things straight in this universe.

In the movie “Avengers: Infinity War,” viewers will join our heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as they bravely resist attacks by the formidable King Thanos on iconic places like Asgard, Wakanda, and other well-known Marvel spots. The climactic battle with the Mad Titan is not to be missed!

Additionally, there are more thrilling developments concerning Marvel’s theme park offerings at D23. The fourth attraction in Avengers Campus will be the Iron Man-themed ride, Stark Flight Lab. This robotic arm ride allows visitors to experience flight similar to Iron Man. Notably, Robert Downey Jr. is set to return as Tony Stark for this exciting attraction. It’s essential to note that the storyline of Avengers Campus takes place in an MCU timeline where Tony Stark did not perish, hence no need for resurrection.
