CinemaCon 2026, the world’s largest convention for movie theaters and studios held in Las Vegas, will conclude with a major presentation from Walt Disney Studios. Disney is expected to showcase some of their most anticipated upcoming films, potentially making this the biggest presentation of the entire event after a week of previews from other major studios.
CinemaCon’s fourth day is wrapping up with a presentation from Walt Disney Studios. The panel takes place on Thursday, April 16th, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time (5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time) in Las Vegas.
The highlight of this presentation will likely be Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, currently expected to be the year’s biggest film in 2026. Although the presentation’s specifics aren’t official yet, Disney is anticipated to unveil major details about the fifth Avengers movie.
The studio’s next major release is The Mandalorian and Grogu on May 22nd. This will be the first Star Wars movie shown in theaters since 2019’s Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. The film follows Din Djarin and Grogu as they embark on a new galactic adventure, bringing them into conflict with the Hutt clan.
Disney might also offer a first glimpse of Toy Story 5, the next installment in the popular series since Toy Story 4 came out in 2019. The movie will reunite Woody and Buzz as they help Bonnie navigate the challenges of growing up with new technology.
Other movies possibly on the docket include Moana and The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Before the big presentation, I saw Alan Bergman, the Chairman of Disney Entertainment and Studios, taking a picture with Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of Avengers: Doomsday. And get this – Chris Evans was right there too! He’s going to reprise his role as Steve Rogers for the eleventh time – that makes twelve Marvel Cinematic Universe movies for him overall – in Doomsday. I’m so excited to see him back!
