Disney has revealed plans for a new *Frozen* project to come out before the end of 2025. This means fans will get another *Frozen* story before *Frozen 3* arrives. Disney CEO Bob Iger first announced *Frozen 3* in 2023, originally scheduling it for November 2026, but it has since been pushed back to November 24, 2027.
Disney has announced a new Frozen series called LEGO Frozen: Operations Puffins, which will debut on Disney+ in October 2025. You’ll be able to start watching on October 24th.
The press release gave a quick preview of the upcoming *LEGO Frozen* special. It will take place after the first *Frozen* movie and show Anna and Elsa “starting fresh in Arendelle.” The story will also explore how the sisters “struggle to break free from tradition,” and it seems the Duke of Weselton and a group of puffins will be the villains.
Following the adventures in ‘Frozen,’ Anna and Elsa are eager to rebuild and make Arendelle Castle feel more like home. However, as they try to modernize and move past old customs, the Duke of Weselton schemes against them, aided by a troublesome group of puffins.
As a huge fan of *Frozen*, I, like a lot of others, totally thought we’d be getting *Frozen 3* next. Everyone’s been saying it’s going to have an *amazing* story, and that’s what we were all expecting – until the LEGO series was announced, of course!
Even though the first *Frozen* movie came out in 2013, the franchise is still incredibly popular with Disney fans. In addition to a new series coming to Disney+ and the planned *Frozen 3*, the “Frozen Ever After” ride at Walt Disney World in Florida is getting a big makeover. Disney also recently announced that they’re already working on *Frozen 4*, alongside *Frozen 3*.
Get ready for *LEGO Frozen: Operations Puffins*, a new Disney+ special featuring LEGO versions of your favorite *Frozen* characters! It’s scheduled to premiere on October 24, 2025.
Disney and LEGO have been partners for a long time, both in movies and at Disney parks and resorts. Just in 2025, they’ve already worked together on several projects.
A new LEGO Star Wars series, Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, recently premiered on Disney+. It received positive reviews from both critics and fans, suggesting we’ll likely see more LEGO Star Wars content in the future.
A short LEGO and Disney collaboration, titled *LEGO Disney Princess: Villains Unite*, premiered on Disney+ in August 2025. The 26-minute special brought together popular Disney Princesses like Ariel, Moana, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Snow White.
We can probably expect LEGO to create more shows and specials for Disney+. Popular Disney franchises will likely get LEGO-themed projects, and it seems like every part of Disney – from Marvel to Star Wars and beyond – could have its own LEGO series or special.
