Dishonored Co-Creator's Next Game Should Make Fans Very Happy--And You Can Help

As a longtime fan of Arkane Studios and particularly enamored with the Dishonored series, I can barely contain my excitement for Wolfeye Studios’ latest project! Raf Colantonio, co-creator of Dishonored, is at it again, this time diving into a new first-person action-RPG with a retro-sci-fi aesthetic. The thought of a spiritual successor to Dishonored, set in a world reminiscent of the old-but-new technology seen in games like Dishonored, is simply too tantalizing to resist.

Following his departure from Arkane Studios, Dishonored’s co-creator Raf Colantonio established Wolfeye Studios. The studio subsequently released the isometric immersive sim titled Weird West. Now, Wolfeye Studios has started working on something that could excite fans even more. They are now in production of a new first-person action-RPG with a retro-sci-fi style. Fans of Dishonored and Prey have the opportunity to contribute to the game’s development process.

The as-yet-unnamed video game has completed its preliminary production stage and is expected to leverage cutting-edge technology reminiscent of games such as Dishonored. In the concept art released by Wolfeye, colossal robots are prominently featured. Wolfeye describes this upcoming project as a completely original intellectual property (IP), promising an immersive and intricate world, flexibility in gameplay, and a deep role-playing game (RPG) experience, drawing inspiration from earlier Arkane productions.

With Arkane Austin, the studio behind Dishonored (which was recently closed by Microsoft), there’s speculation that Wolfeye’s upcoming game could serve as its spiritual successor. Studio head Colantonio is optimistic about their vision, but he also welcomes your feedback. If you’re interested, you can sign up for a limited alpha test on the studio’s website.

For enthusiasts of my previous projects like Dishonored and Prey, as well as RPG fans in general, this new project will seem familiar. As we search for the ideal publishing partner, our primary focus is engaging our community early with a restricted private alpha test scheduled for 2025. We’re eager to share what we’ve been developing with our fans.
