In the trailer for Pokemon Day 2025, we get a glimpse of the new characters introduced thus far for our upcoming journey in the series titled Legends Z-A.

Player

Ever since my favorite game, Pokémon Crystal, allowed me to pick a female or male character for my journey, the new game, Legends Z-A, continues this tradition. I’ll get to choose who I want to be on this exciting adventure!

Players can observe and emulate the characters’ appearances as depicted in both Generation 8 games, Sword & Shield, and Generation 9 games, Scarlet & Violet. Initially, these characters seem to wear typical outfits, but players will likely have the option to modify their character’s appearance for a personalized touch.

Items like clothing, footwear, bags, and more could potentially be found in stores. On the other hand, hairstyles and makeup can possibly be altered at beauty salons, but we’ll need to verify this information.

Urbain/Taunie

As a dedicated Pokémon enthusiast, I can’t imagine my journey without a rival to spur me on and add an extra layer of excitement to every adventure. This character serves as a crucial part of the Pokémon tale, driving the narrative forward with their friendly competition.

Over the years, we’ve encountered memorable antagonists such as Gary from the anime, the original Blue, up to Hop in Sword & Shield, and more recently, Nemona, Arven, and Kieran in Scarlet & Violet.

As Gamerspeak goes, let me tell you about this guy, Az. He’s the big boss at Hotel Z, an ancient dude, if legends are to be believed – over three millennia old! Now, he’s a real sight to behold. Standing at well over nine feet tall, and there’s something eerie yet fascinating about him. And No one really knows why, but it adds an extra layer of mystery to this old-school hotel owner.

Clad in tattered clothes, supported by a walking stick, and appearing to have an injured knee, character AZ is likely to regale others with tales during their residence within the hotel.

Eternal Flower Floette

This unique Floette stands out among her familiar species peers due to her multicolored body and the distinct black blossom she carries.

She’s AZ’s companion and, as such, says to have lived for three thousand years, too.

Jett

In the future, Lumiose City will be revamped to create a city that harmoniously co-exists for both human residents and Pokémon.

The project is being handled by a significant company known as Quasartico Inc., with its CEO, Jett, overseeing all operations, as she strives to strengthen the connection between Pokemon and humanity.

Vinnie

In addition to being well-known as Vinnie, he’s also an employee at Quasartico Inc., where his role is that of Jett’s personal secretary.

He’s rarely spotted without his eyeglasses, earning him the reputation of a swift and busy individual. It appears he is always engaged in some task or another.

Although we’re yet to fully understand the part each character in Pokemon Legends Z-A will play or uncover any unexpected story developments, it’s thrilling to find out who will steer the plot in the upcoming installment of this beloved series.

I’m really crossing my fingers that no fresh Volo characters will be hiding in the dark corners, ready to shatter the hearts of devoted fans like me.
