‘Disclaimer’ Trailer: Cate Blanchett Leads Alfonso Cuarón’s Apple TV+ Series About a Journalist With a Secret Past

The initial glimpse of “Disclaimer,” a forthcoming limited series from Academy Award-winning director Alfonso Cuarón, hints at troubled times for Cate Blanchett. This intriguing thriller was revealed to the public by Apple TV+ this past Wednesday.

In the movie titled “Disclaimer,” starring Blanchett as Catherine Ravenscroft, a renowned reporter finds herself in danger of having her hidden secrets exposed when she’s given a book by an unknown author that mirrors her own troubled history.

The intriguing trailer showcases a sequence of captivating scenes from the show, featuring Cate Blanchett narrowly escaping a car accident and a pair embracing at a somber seashore. Besides Blanchett, the series boasts performances by Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, breakout star of “Squid Game,” Hoyeon, Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge from “Enola Holmes,” and Leila George. Alfonso Cuarón, who previously worked in television with the 2014 fantasy series “Believe,” is the writer and director for “Disclaimer.”

The show is created by Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content. Cuarón, Blanchett, Rodriguez, Levine, Golin, Lubezki, Delbonnel, Sabourin, and Morales serve as executive producers. Knight, who penned the 2015 book that inspired this series, acts as a co-executive producer. Finneas O’Connell is responsible for the music composition.

“Important Notice: The series titled ‘Disclaimer’ starts airing on Apple TV+ from October 11th, with the first two episodes. Subsequent episodes will be available each Friday until November 15th. Before the streaming launch, a number of episodes will be premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September for their global debut.”
