Dinosaurs, trebuchets, and Viking invasions. The RTS we never knew we needed

This game, Dinolords, is about to take gaming to an entirely different dimension, and I can sense it will soon consume me completely. Unlike your ordinary real-time strategies, this game transports dinosaurs into medieval England during the year 1002 AD, offering players a unique opportunity to immerse in jaw-dropping Jurassic battles.

Dinosaurs in the dark ages

In this strategy game, it’s not just a typical scenario of lords safeguarding England from Viking attacks – you’re engaged in battles against tamed dinosaurs instead. Although traditional RTS features such as resource collection, city construction, and troop control remain, let’s face it, these dinosaurs are functioning like horses in this setting!

In the trailer, it appears that as a ruler, you’re not just sitting back but actively involved in constructing everything (showing dedication). I find it intriguing when classic game genres intermingle, and this is exactly what we have here: Real-time Strategy (RTS) combined with elements of Action Role-Playing Game (RPG), allowing you to directly command your lord during battles.

The game called Dinolords hasn’t set a release date as of now, however, it is confirmed to debut in Early Access on Steam. This exciting project is being developed by Northplay, an independent Danish studio known for their previous works like Super Planet Life and Headland. However, Dinolords seems to be Northplay’s most ambitious endeavor so far. If the name Ghost Ship Publishing sounds familiar, it’s because they are associated with Ghost Ship Games, the creators of Deep Rock Galactic.
