Bandai Namco has just released an update for Digimon Story: Time Stranger that addresses a few problems. The update fixes issues with objective markers in certain missions and resolves progression blocks in the main story, along with other improvements.
The new update is available today on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Steam. It includes fixes for problems that could crash the game during side missions, as well as improvements to how boss health bars are displayed.

- Fixed an issue where Objective Markers for certain missions were not displayed correctly.
- Fixed an issue in the Main Mission “Reunions Bring Trouble” where using Cross Arts immediately after a guest Digimon leaves during the battle with Raremon could block game progression.
- Fixed an issue in the Main Mission “Resonating Thoughts” where, under certain conditions, Elecmon’s movement could be blocked, preventing progression.
- Fixed an issue in the Main Mission “Gathering Storm Clouds” where, after a Game Over during the battle with Parrotmon, selecting “Retry Battle” could prevent game progress after restarting the battle.
- Fixed an issue in the Main Mission “Where Did the Ribbon Go?” where, under certain conditions, the event scene in “Special Forces Underground Base: Gantry” would not play, preventing progression.
- Fixed an issue in the Main Mission “No Cure for Stupidity” where, during normal battles, the “Escape” option could not be executed and “Give Up” was triggered instead.
- Fixed an issue in the Main Missions “No Cure for Stupidity” and “The Mad Oracle” where, when visiting the The In-Between Theater as part of scenario progression, enabling Mark Current Objective for a Side Mission would prevent Mark Current Objective for the Main Mission from being re-enabled afterward.
- Fixed an issue in the Main Mission “The Final Battle over the Natural Order” where, under certain conditions, winning the battle against Barbamon can prevent game progress.
- Fixed an issue during certain phases of the final boss battle where, even after successfully performing a Charge Break, the enemy’s special skill would still activate.
- Fixed an issue where the final boss’s HP display did not match the actual damage dealt.
- Fixed an issue during the final boss battle where JewelBeemon was not affected by certain battle interactions.
- Fixed an issue where starting New Game Plus with save data that had reached the Main Mission “The Beginning of the End,” Aegiomon would join as Aegiochusmon instead.
- Fixed an issue during New Game Plus where, in the Main Mission “The Defense of Nishi-Shinjuku,” using the battle command “Digivolution” while controlling Aegiochusmon could prevent game progress.
- Fixed an issue in the side mission “From Pegasusmon to the World” where, if you possessed the “Digi-Egg of Sincerity,” the option to “Hand over the Digi-Egg” would not appear when talking to Pegasusmon, preventing progression.
- Fixed an issue in the Side Mission “From Pegasusmon to the World” where, upon clearing the mission, the correct event scene would sometimes not play.
- Fixed an issue in the Side Mission “The Worthy” where, if you saved before talking to UlforceVeedramon at a certain stage and then executed “Give Up” during the battle with Neptunemon, selecting “Load” on the Game Over screen could cause UlforceVeedramon to be placed in an inaccessible location, preventing progression.
- Fixed an issue in the side mission “The Worthy” where, at certain timings, enabling Mark Current Objective would cause the intended conversation target, UlforceVeedramon, to not appear on the field.
- Fixed an issue in the Side Mission “Message from Beyond Time” where, if riding certain Digimon, you could not talk to “Big Drimogemon” or “Little Drimogemon” during progression.
- Fixed an issue in the Side Mission “Knowing One’s Strength” where Craniamon, the intended conversation target, would not appear in the field when “Mark Current Objective” was enabled at a specific timing.
- Fixed an issue in the Side Mission “The Easy Road Is Best” where it was possible to enable Mark Current Objective at a point when progression was not intended to be possible.
- Fixed an issue in the Side Mission “The Helper from Shambala” where the mission could be completed at an unintended timing.
- Fixed an issue in the Side Mission “Olympos XII’s Test Match” where defeating enemies in a specific order would cause Jupitermon: Wrath Mode to become invincible.
- Fixed an issue in the Side Mission “In the Palm of an Unknown Hand,” unlocked by obtaining the DLC costume “Cyber Sleuth Set,” where a Main Mission event could unintentionally trigger, resulting in an application error.
- Fixed an issue in “Abyss Depths” where interacting with enemy Digimon immediately after using Submarimon’s “DigiCo-Op” would prevent game progress.
- Fixed an issue in “Abyss Depths” and “Gear Forest: Shaded Woods” where characters could fall through the ground at specific locations, resulting in progression being blocked.
- Fixed an issue in the “Heat Cosmic: Yellowflame Area” where characters could pass through field objects at specific locations and become stuck in unreachable areas, preventing further progression.
- Fixed an issue in “Akashic Abyss” where using “DigiCo-Op” under certain conditions could cause the character to pass through field objects and become stuck in an unreachable area, preventing further progression.
- Fixed an issue in “Akashic Oblivion” where, upon falling from a transparent floor, the character’s position would not reset to the designated location as intended, resulting in a progression-blocking state.
- Fixed an issue in “Central Town: Downtown (Present Day)” where moving behind RustTyrannomon on the field could cause the character to become stuck and unable to move, preventing progression.
- Fixed an issue in the “Special Forces Underground Base: Research Division” where entering a specific room would prevent access to the door, making it impossible to exit and continue progression.
- Fixed an issue where opening the backlog and performing specific actions during a boss battle event could cause furher progress.
- Fixed an issue where using an attack that causes “Crystallized” followed by a “Extra Strikes” effect that reduces the enemy Digimon’s HP to 0 would result in a progression-blocking state.
- Fixed an issue where activating the Personality Skill “Combo Magic” during the use of a DNA Digivolution Skills could cause the game to prevent game progress.
- Fixed an issue where the activation rate of the Personality Skill “Combo Magic” would incorrectly become 100% when a Digimon’s HP exceeded its maximum value.
- Fixed an issue where the effect values of the Personality Skill “Stout Defense,” “Stout Strength,” and “Stout Spirit” would become higher than intended when a Digimon’s HP exceeded its maximum value.
- Fixed an issue where the damage dealt by special skills that reference a Digimon’s HP or SP would incorrectly change when HP or SP exceeded their maximum values.
- Fixed an issue where, during battle, the icons displayed for buffs and debuffs applied simultaneously to a Digimon did not accurately reflect their actual effect values.
- Fixed an issue where, after using a special skill that triggers a Mode Change, enabling AUTO battle could cause a different Digimon’s special skill to be used instead.
- Fixed an issue where, after selecting “Return to Title” from a save file and starting a new game with “New Game,” Digimon stats would unintentionally increase beyond expected values.
