For me personally, it’s easy to see how these videos might affect my eating patterns in an unhealthy way. Even if you don’t have an eating disorder, the constant exposure to large quantities of food could potentially influence your consumption.

In the year 2024, Chinese Mukbang streamer Pan Xiaoting tragically passed away at the age of 24 during a live broadcast due to excessive eating. An autopsy later revealed that her abdomen had undergone significant changes as a result.

Lena elaborated by explaining that Nikocado’s significant weight reduction might lead to misunderstandings about weight loss for individuals dealing with disordered eating, noting that individuals classified as ‘morbidly obese’ typically shed pounds quicker compared to those categorized as simply ‘overweight’.

She mentioned that due to his reduced physical stature, it might lead to more misunderstandings for people who are inclined towards or already struggling with eating disorders.

When it comes to the appropriate speed of weight loss, those categorized as morbidly obese tend to shed pounds more quickly compared to overweight individuals. This is primarily because of their increased metabolic demands and higher protein needs in their diet.

If you’re aiming for a consistent weight loss, a rate of about 1-2 pounds (0.45-0.9 kg) per week is typically suggested. This pace helps in maintaining muscle mass while reducing fat, especially when paired with regular exercise that involves both strength and endurance training.

In a twist that’s sparked widespread conversation online, Nikocado’s social experiment is causing a stir. However, it seems his followers are left puzzled as he posts another video showcasing an earlier version of himself, insisting that his previous weight loss was merely a hoax.
