Dexter: Resurrection is taking the kill room around the world.

The crime thriller Dexter has become incredibly popular worldwide, recently gaining even more fans thanks to viral memes and successful spin-offs. The franchise now includes the original Dexter series, Dexter: New Blood, Dexter: Resurrection, and a prequel, Dexter: Original Sin, which was sadly cancelled after just one season.

He said the location scouting didn’t pan out there, but honestly, that just means Dexter might be taking his… special skillset somewhere else in the world! Following the dramatic conclusion of New Blood, Resurrection finds Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) searching for his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), in New York City. His quest leads him into a dangerous world connected to a secretive serial killer group led by the influential Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage), forcing Dexter to dismantle it from the inside. As he navigates this new challenge, figures from his past emerge, determined to uncover the truth about his crimes in Miami.

In season two, Dexter will be joined by several new and returning characters. These include Charley Brown, played by Uma Thurman, who represents his conscience, and the ghost of Harry Morgan, portrayed by James Remar. Detective Claudette Wallace, played by Kadia Saraf, will also appear, along with a popular character from the original series, Joey Quinn, played by Desmon Harrington.

The show has added some exciting new cast members! Brian Cox, a highly acclaimed actor, will play the role of the notorious New York Ripper, and Dan Stevens will portray The Five Borough Killer.

As of today, there’s no official release date for season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection, but it’s currently scheduled to premiere in October.
