Destiny 2’s Worst Gun is Now the Best Add-Clear Tool

In Destiny 2, Scout Rifles are typically not weapons linked with the “add-clearing” role, but the game Episode Heresy has significantly changed this view by introducing an exceptional add-clear Scout Rifle that stands out among the rest.

The unique Rapid-Fire Frame weapon, Unworthy, can only be found within the Sundered Doctrine dungeon. It serves as an exceptional tool for clearing obstacles quickly, especially when combined with unusual perks that are rare and unavailable elsewhere in the game’s environment.

Without a doubt, the Scout Rifle enhancements introduced in Patch 8.2.0 – a significant 15% and 30% damage boost against minor and major targets respectively – have turned Unworthy, surprisingly, into Sundered Doctrine’s most coveted Legendary weapon. This is the version you should be on the lookout for.

Unworthy is currently the only weapon that can roll Firefly and Voltshot together.

It’s worth noting that Unworthy stands out as a remarkable add-on due to its unique feature of including Firefly in the first column of perks, followed by Voltshot in the second.

In a vacuum, or in any setting, having access to these dual build-around advantages is significant. Possessing them on a single weapon is advantageous not just for Arc and Solar constructs, but it also directly enhances Prismatic and emerging perks like Elemental Honing. These latter two perform exceptionally well when the user inflicts multiple distinct types of elemental damage.

Voltshot, especially, performs exceptionally on weapons known as Rapid-Fire Frames, which have built-in quicker reloads following an empty magazine. To enhance this even more, you could use a Reload Speed Masterwork, and that’s our suggested choice, but Range or Handling also work effectively if you prefer.

Similarly, Arrowhead Brake and Ricochet Rounds provide additional stability and range for Unworthy, but they are not essential items. You can effectively manage Unworthy even without them, so there’s no need to worry too much about obtaining a maximum 5/5 upgrade.
