As a seasoned Guardian with decades of time-traveling adventures under my belt, I can confidently say that the arrival of Arcane Embrace, Destiny 2’s Halloween-themed two-round burst shotgun, has sent ripples of excitement through the space-faring community. With its unique properties and a perk pool brimming with potential, this spectral boomstick is a DPS powerhouse that’s sure to make my Crucible and Vanguard days even more thrilling.

In the latest update for Destiny 2, a distinctive two-round burst shotgun was introduced during the weekly reset on October 29. This weapon offers additional special features that set it apart from other shotguns of its kind.

The Arcane Embrace weapon, obtained during the 2024 version of Destiny 2’s annual Halloween event, Festival of the Lost, fires out two rapid shots with each trigger pull, mimicking the behavior of a Precision Frame gun.

Instead of being crucial, the precision damage on this boomstick isn’t decisive, making it an exceptional Damage Per Second (DPS) weapon across all PvE environments. Furthermore, its perk pool is brimming with possibilities, even featuring a unique shotgun combo that hasn’t been observed before.

In this game, I’ve found some high-level combos that are definitely worth tracking down, but the one that really catches my eye is the duo of Dual Loader and Voltshot. With Dual Loader speeding up the process of fully loading my magazine, I can fire off more shots during Voltshot’s seven-second window. And here’s the cool part – Voltshot gets activated after a kill, when I reload!

In the style of Episode Revenant’s seasonal gear, it promotes the utilization of Stasis and Arc abilities. This specific roll of Arcane Embrace will seamlessly blend with existing game setups, maximizing benefits from perks like Retinal Burn and Anti-Barrier Shotgun.

As a die-hard fan, I’ve discovered some intriguing synergies in this setup that seem particularly effective in Player versus Environment (PvE), but I can’t help but wonder if they might work in Player versus Player (PvP) as well. The Slideshot and Closing Time combo has proven to be a go-to for Shotguns in the Revenant class, and I dare say that the Dual Loader with Desperado’s fire rate boost could also be a formidable choice.

One potential rephrasing could be: Despite its advantages, Arcane Embrace has a significant drawback – its basic Aim Assistance is very low at 40, which makes it less likely to surpass established competitive choices like Matador 64 and Prophet of Doom.
