With the countdown nearing its end for Destiny 2: Heresy Act 3, Warlock players find themselves imploring developers to at last enhance the perceived “ineffective” Solipsism exotic of their class.
First introduced with the “The Final Shape” expansion for Destiny 2, the Solipsism exotic item belongs to the Warlock class and offers a variety of perks that accommodate different gameplay approaches.
Over the course of the game, players who specialize in Warlock have persistently raised doubts about the worth of this specific exotic item. Even popular pairings such as Osmiomancy and Star eater have gradually lost their charm due to strategic adjustments and balancing tweaks aimed at them.
Some Solipsism users are now leaning on buddy builds incorporating Hellion turrets for added power, as they find the exotic weapon somewhat underwhelming. However, those dissatisfied with its limited effectiveness are eagerly anticipating improvements when Heresy Act 3 arrives.
Destiny 2 Warlock players demand Solipsism buffs
One participant on the Destiny subreddit initiated this debate by labeling the class item as “dreadful,” suggesting that Warlock players might be more effective with default Exotics instead. They then pleaded, “In Act III, for the sake of all things divine… enhance Solipsism.
The player emphasized multiple significant problems, among them the adjustments made to Spirit of Osmiomancy, and the observation that Solipsism is overly centered on Rifts like Stag and Filaments.
As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but echo the sentiments of fellow enthusiasts who’ve consistently voiced their concerns about the Class Items sporting the Spirit of the Swarm perk. All too often, it seems like these items have been toned down compared to other game elements.
A significant number of individuals echoed the sentiment that the item often falls short in providing diversity, with one Reddit user adding, “I wholeheartedly concur; it’s rather lacking.
A different user commented that most effective Warlock bond rolls are typically HOIL combined with another element. There does seem to be a diversity issue, but this could also be applied to the Prismatic Warlock more broadly…
Many people expressed disappointment about Solipsism’s incompatibility with the widely loved Phoenix Drive Class Ability, with one individual stating, “I completely agree. It’s frustrating that the benefits in Solipsism seem designed to discourage using Phoenix Dive.
Another player added that the absence of Phoenix Drive synergy “kneecaps Warlock build options.”
We’re unsure about any adjustments Bungie plans to make regarding balance in Heresy Act 3 at this time. They have only revealed details about the Rite of the Nine event for this act so far. However, as we approach April when Act 3 is set to release, we expect additional information to become available.
