This hand cannon is an absolute game-changer, boasting a potent combination of Rimestealer and Headstone that puts it squarely in the S-tier category for primaries.
Enthusiasts of Destiny 2’s frost-themed subclass now have a chance to obtain one of the game’s most powerful primary weapons ever, in the Episode Revenant.
As a dedicated fan, I can share that Exuviae, one of the seasonal weapons introduced in Revenant Act 1, could potentially drop from Onslaught Salvation. Unlike Echoes, it doesn’t have a Weapon Pattern, so if you’re hoping for the perfect god roll, crafting won’t be an available option.

Meta Analysis
Initially, it’s important to note that although Accurized Rounds and Arrowhead Brake are beneficial for enhancing Handling and Range, they aren’t absolutely necessary. The critical aspect lies in the powerful combination of Rimestealer and Headstone, as their synergy is truly remarkable.
In this game, when an enemy is defeated precisely, Headstone creates a Stasis crystal. Breaking any crystal, whether it’s one generated by Headstone or another, empowers the user of Rimestealer with Frost Armor. Every instance of this buff increases resistance to damage by 4.5%, reaching a maximum of 22.5% with five stacks at its peak.
The fun continues beyond that point as well. Thanks to Revenant’s seasonal Artifact focusing on Stasis, Guardians can get even more value from the combo. When One With Frost in Column 2 is activated, it boosts the reload speed and stability of all Stasis weapons while Frost Armor is active.
Combine that with “Hail the Storm,” an ability that fragments Stasis crystals, releasing sluggish ice shards in their wake. Essentially, you become a crowd control powerhouse with a single weapon. Hail the Storm can also be amplified using Tonics, causing the broken crystals to inflict extra damage as well.
