Destiny 2 Lotus Eater God Roll Guide

In Destiny 2: Episode Heresy, Act II has been released, introducing some exciting new gadgets to play with. One of these is the Lotus Eater, a rocket-boosted sidearm that’s now available. This Void-based weapon is another fantastic addition to its class, proving to be a valuable tool in your arsenal. Here’s where you can find it and what the optimal perk setup for the Lotus Eater looks like.

How to get Lotus Eater

The Lotus Eater can only be obtained as a reward from Nightfalls or Grandmaster Nightfalls when it’s included in the weekly weapon rotation. After completing a Nightfall mission, there’s a chance that it might drop. Different difficulty tiers have varying percentages for dropping the Lotus Eater, but the most reliable method to ensure a drop is by finishing a Grandmaster Nightfall with a Platinum score. Achieving a Platinum score in a Grandmaster Nightfall guarantees the drop of an Adept version of the Lotus Eater when it’s on rotation. This special version offers enhanced stats and unique perk combinations.

Once the Episode Heresy wraps up and the new expansion drops, I’ll be ready to grab my controller and dive into the action with Lotus Eater! All I need are some Nightfall Ciphers, which I’ll cash in with Zavala at the Tower, and voila! Mission accomplished.

Lotus Eater God Rolls

Lotus Eater PvE God Roll

Barrel: Quick Launch

+10 Velocity / +10 Handling

Magazine: High Explosive Ordnance

+10 Blast Radius / +5 Velocity / -3 Magazine

First Perk: Repulsor Brace

Defeating a Void-debuffed target grants an overshield.

Second Perk: Destabilizing Rounds

Hitting the designated target causes a Void Explosion; striking other targets with this explosion turns them unstable and awards you with Temporary Volatile Ammunition.

In an optimal scenario, this weapon’s perks significantly increase the explosion radius of its ammunition and speed up the spread of the Volatile debuff among enemies. Since Volatile triggers chain explosions, it can quickly clear vast areas of enemies in a matter of seconds. Pairing this with a Void subclass enhances its effectiveness, especially when combined with abilities like Devour and collecting Void Breaches. This makes it exceptionally effective for eliminating groups. Additionally, the Repulsor Brace perk ensures the user maintains a steady overshield during extended battles, allowing them to absorb more damage.

Lotus Eater PvP God Roll

Barrel: Linear Compensator

+5 Stability / +5 Blast Radius / +5 Velocity

Magazine: High Velocity Rounds

+10 Velocity / +10 Reload Speed

First Perk: Beacon Rounds

With this tool, your bullets gain the ability to track targets and reload faster. Dealing additional damage prolongs its duration.

Second Perk: Withering Gaze

Pointing this gun briefly without shooting gives temporary power to make the next target weaker. The timer resets either after firing or when you cease to focus through the scope.

The speed at which this sidearm’s bullet travels makes it an excellent choice for player versus player (PvP) encounters. When combined with the tracking provided by Beacon Rounds and the ability to weaken from Withering Gaze, this weapon will work effectively with Void builds that rely on melee or short-range Void abilities. The Weaken feature makes targets more susceptible to damage and slows down their healing process, leaving them highly vulnerable when debuffed.
