Nevertheless, there’s a streamlined approach: Spectral Pages have been eliminated altogether, allowing you to concentrate solely on collecting Manifested Pages and subsequently using them to unveil stories within the Book of the Forgotten.

How to get Manifested Pages in Destiny 2
To begin the Festival of the Lost, make sure to stop by Eva Levante at The Tower first. Complete her initial Haunted Sector mission, then set off to discover the Shrouded Pages hidden within the Book of the Forgotten.
Previously, you needed to gather Spectral Pages and subsequently convert them into Manifested Pages. However, now, you can skip the initial step of collecting Spectral Pages and instead earn Manifested Pages directly.
Manifested Pages are available throughout the game as completion rewards for most anything you do–but you must be wearing a Festival of the Lost mask to be eligible for these to drop. Additionally, Manifested Pages are available as a reward when completing Haunted Sectors, seemingly regardless of having a mask on, though you’re best off wearing a mask anyway throughout the event, which runs from October 29 until November 12.
Make certain to focus on defeating the Headless Ones in Haunted Sectors. If you manage to slay 10 Headless Ones within a single game session, you’ll receive additional Manifested Pages alongside the usual ones awarded for the activity.
Historically, more rewards have been given for participating in challenging tasks, such as Heroic Public Events. However, keep in mind that these harder versions require more time to complete. Be wary of strategies that try to exploit this system, like using a checkpoint to repeatedly farm the rewards, as we’ll let you know if any effective methods are found.
How Haunted Sectors work
In essence, Haunted Sectors are three-player versions of regular Lost Sectors filled with unique enemies called Headless Ones. To maximize rewards during these sessions, it’s essential to focus on defeating as many Headless Ones as you can. This is because slaying ten or more within a single game provides additional Manifested Pages, which lessens the effort required for the event by reducing the need for repeated playthroughs.
For players seeking a tougher experience, there’s an advanced version of Haunted Sectors called Expert Mode, where you’ll reap extra Manifested Pages and powerful masks. But remember, matchmaking is no longer available; instead, use Fireteam Finder to join forces with fellow gamers.
What to do with Manifested Pages
To clarify, Manifested Pages can be carried over to the book found by Eva. This book serves as a platform to acquire new books with prices varying from a single unit (which now applies to all old volumes) up to higher values. The process of unlocking these new volumes contributes to finishing the event and earning diverse rewards, as well as accomplishing event objectives.
The Festival of the Lost comes with a range of prizes, including a novel shotgun known as Arcane Embrace, but what truly captures attention is the chance to retrieve the returning Superblack shader.
